I just installed 2 of these in my 2020 Silverado with a crunch 1100 watt amp a month ago, and they sound great. So far I only have my amp turned up about a third of way, and bass is deep. I was not expecting this much bass from such a small package. I would definitely buy again.

I was looking to add a little more bass for my in-ceiling speakers in my living and dining rooms that are hooked up to my Sonos connect player. However, didn’t want any subwoofer noticeable in the living room. After realizing I had some space under my sofa, I was going to building my own shallow enclosure and purchase a shallow mount sub, but then I found this thing and it was nearly the perfect dimensions for my usage. Fits perfectly with just enough clearance and after adding a small $60 Fosi class D subwoofer amp with adjustable crossover and a $10 audio RCA through Ethernet adaptor, this setup was nearly exactly what I was looking for just a little over $200. No, it’s not nearly as good as my SVS or Velodyne home theater subs, but for this application, it definitely adds a presence to my 6.5 inch in-ceiling speakers for casual listening. I lucked out having an unused Ethernet jack close by and that I was able to find these inexpensive RCA to Ethernet audio extenders. They allow me to connect the RCA end from my Sonos in a nearby closet, go through my Ethernet cable, and plug the other RCA adapter to my Fosi amp attached to this sub. As noted in some reviews about the adapters, I do get a little hum likely because of the adapters, but it’s not noticeable. There are other more expensive RCA to Ethernet adapters that likely get rid of the hum, but it’s not worth to me. Regarding the sub itself, the enclosure looks pretty well made - much better than I could have made myself. Likely just mdf wrapped in felt, with a standard inset speaker connection. Nice that it includes feet and mounting brackets. The feet were perfect for me. I don’t think I could have built this any cheaper myself considering it came with the driver, felt wrapping, feet, and grill cover. I think the only dislike is that the amp doesn’t have auto power capabilities, so it stays on all the time, but I do have it plugged into a smart outlet, so I may be able to trigger the amp through an Alexa voice command. ... show more

    • Amazing sound from small sub!!!
Sounds great, better than I expected. Used Skar 8 ga wiring kit hooked to a Kicker CXA400.1. Got the kicker bass boost remote as well. Mounted downfire under the backseat of a extended cab F150. I'm very happy with the set up.

Sounds great nothing like a $300 kicker but was really surprised running on a phosgate prime 250 great punch for rock.

    • Not worth the money
Even if it was free its cheaply put together no fan no vents. Seller disregards cost of installation, won't send a replacement to be swapped out in shop. Before I/you who don't do install un install send broke one back 🙃

    • Shallow and preloaded
The low profile takes up much less space than the a regular ported subwoofer. You can use the saved space for your stuff and not just for a big box of air.
