Overall this is a great little label maker. It's small and you use an app on your phone to make your label text and border (if you want one). If you are using it to make return address labels it's great. Once designed the address label can be saved so that you can make them as you need them. I used mine to make labels for parts organizers. Each label is different so with the app you need to create a new label for each bin. There is no way that I could find to edit a label once you have printed one. I'm not saying it is not possible, it's just not at all obvious how to do it. Each time I had to delete the previous label text and start over. Not a deal breaker but pretty cumbersome. The directions are a little sparse and don't really address the bluetooth connection. It's not difficult but it's also not the normal pairing procedure I was used to. Again, not a deal breaker but an explanation would have been nice. I am used to turning on the device and going into the phone/ tablet settings and selecting bluetooth then searching for the device (label maker) and tapping the device (D30) and having it connect. That's not how this works, you turn on the label maker then open the app and click the connect button in the upper right. Once you play with it a bit you can figure it out. Once you figure it out it works well and produces a nice label. I would definitely buy it again.

This Phomemo™ D30 label maker has endless ways to customize your labels, offers a great value for the money, and is absolutely fun to use. I was so impressed with this label maker straight out of the box. I purchased the option with five rolls of various labels to ensure I had enough for a while, and I’m sure glad I did, because this device is so much fun to use. Learning how the app works takes a few minutes to figure out, however, it’s pretty straight forward and pretty easy to use. The UI could use an update, but it’s definitely not a deal breaker. I was so pleased with this D30 that I decided to purchase another one that can print address labels too. I would recommend this label maker to any of my friends and family. CHECK IT OUT..

Took me a few tries to get the tape in order for the print to come out right on the "middle". You need to rip it right at the edge of the black line, not the middle of it. Perfect for small items. Doesn't come out when wet or other, like advertised. Love the different designs. Super cool. Great purchase. Thank you!

App is a joke, won’t do any of the special features. Doesn’t let you even change lettering or boldness, size, or the position of where the letters were. Sucks. It also kept printing out 4 labels for 1 crappy label. Returned.

This is several leagues more convenient than the typical label maker that I have. It's faster, simpler, more powerful, and easier to use. I bought it because I was curious about the QR code functionality that it has (I do a lot of work in computer vision, so QR codes are nice to have / print out). It is SO easy to generate new codes, and I can imagine that this would be a powerful tool for small business owners. Not sure what the top comment is about tracking online searches - there's zero proof of that. Besides, there are likely other apps that are much more intrusive than that - but that's besides this review. This label maker is awesome!

After printing about 100 labels I am more than satisfied with my Phomemo D30! This model only prints small labels, about .5” x 1.5”. You use your cell phone or computer to design and sent print orders to the D30 via Bluetooth. I use the D30 primarily labeling my performance harmonicas along the back of the comb; and, labeling knives & other blades I hand sharpen. The D30 is small and fits in my vest pocket. It is recharged via USB and I have yet to get a low battery signal. Perhaps the best thing about my D30 is Phomemo support! From Warranty registration to guidance on setting default print settings, the support staff is quick to answer and offer solutions. It is the only label maker I can recommend without qualification
