These chairs are very comfortable and look great. Assembly is a bear until you get the first one done, then they get easier as you go. Worth the assembly headaches though. We are very happy with ours.

My purchase was for a total of four chairs. They arrived in two boxes with a single box containing two chairs for assembly. The boxes were very well packed and all pieces nicely protected for shipment. All pieces were undamaged after unpacking. There was much assembly required and here are my lessons learned to make that process easier. 1) Instructions are pictorial only no text. Made sense for the most part. 2) Hardware and assembly tools came in a super tight blister pack. See pic. Do yourself a favor and approach it from the back. Much easier than trying to slice from the front. I labeled Dixie cups and kept parts organized that way. They are similar in size so easy to confuse if unorganized. There is one extra part than is needed for each part. 3) Fully assemble one chair first and "learn your lessons". The second through fourth chair went much quicker. 4) I took the advice of another reviewer and used my own tools instead of the supplied ones and it makes assembly so much easier. See pic. A T Handle 4mm hex key and a 10mm ratchet/socket limited alot of cussing. 5) I assembled on a large dining room table to limit having to bend over and keeping things at a level reach and best visibility. 6) When assembling the legs make sure you center & evenly space them or you may have issues attaching the seat/swivel plate and the bolts lining up to the holes on the cross pieces. Suggestion don't tighten any of the bolts in this step until you have all the bolts inserted and the nuts started. On my fourth chair I had to disassemble and start over. Make sure the screw in leg adjusters don't back out and fall. A ood hand tightening will do the trick. 7) When assembling the chair back (last step) leave the rear arm bolts a little loose or you will have issues fitting the back in place. Once all bolts are in place and started you can tighten them all. 8) Some steps are easiest with two people especially the chair back so someone can hold it in place while the other gets the bolts started. 9) While there were some videos on YouTube I didn't find one that was exactly specific to these chairs. Bottom line is the assembly isn't overwhelming with some preparation and the right tools. With four chairs practice makes perfect. These are replacing similar chairs that are now 11 years old and the material has begun to split. Good deal for the price. ... show more

Ordered 4 Chairs and within weeks 2 of the chairs broke as the bearings came out of the swivel base. Company offered to send replacement parts but replacement parts were on backorder. That was a stall so that i could not return the chairs to AMAZON now because of time. Waiting over 1 month and no word, just crickets. They don't even the phone or e- mails now. Save yourself lots of aggravation and move to another company. I intend to make this an issue with Amazon, they should not be doing business with companies like this, makes them look bad. ... show more

We like the chairs, good quality. I did the assembly myself. It would have been very useful, though, if there had been written instructions to go with the pictures. We both counted the washers needed but we still had a lot left over while the other parts were right on. The first chair was a learning experience. The rest followed easily. The chairs came two in a box. Including the tools to assemble. Assembly was easier after the first chair was together. Using a ratchet set was easier than the wrench provided. I love the look and quality of these chairs

    • MAJOR ordeal to assemble, but super comfortable!

I ordered 4 chairs. 2 of them were the standard pain in the rear to assemble but at least after a bunch of wiggling around, all of the holes eventually lined up. The second set... NOT SO MUCH!!! I had to re-tap 40% of the welded internal nuts on the back / armrests because they were only partially threaded and had to expand (by drilling out) the size of the holes on about 8 of the holes because they were SO out of alignment. I do a lot of DIY projects so it was more of an annoyance than anything else, but I can see how it would be annoying if you don't have access to tools. In regards to swivel plates. 3 out of 4 them seated fine when everything was tightened but the fourth one required me adding a few offset washers to get it so it wasn't pulling the thing apart when it was finally tightened. I can see now why some people have issues with the ball bearings falling out. That being said, you do need to be gentle when getting in and out of the chairs if you want the swivel plates / ball bearing to stay in place and last, they well eventually flex and bend if you're not careful. Once all the chairs are built, they are ULTRA comfortable so couldn't be more happy with the comfort level! Be warned though these chairs are TALL, SUPER TALL!!! I ended up cutting three of them down so they would actually fit under my outdoor table (but that was my fault for not measuring things. To cut the legs down, just pull out the plugs on the bottom of the chairs, cut off equal amounts and re-insert. Oh, and if you don't have really long legs, your feet will not be able to reach the foot rest bar so plan on rigging something up. Don't forget to keep them covered 24/7 when not in use, the material will fall apart if you don't. EDIT - the seller reached out to me and credited me some money towards the purchase to help with all the hassle I went through with the second set, so it's nice to know there is support behind the product even if you don't try and return them. I'm changing from 2 stars to 3 because of the help from the seller :) ... show more
