    • Great scooter!
So far, I’m very impressed with this scooter, mainly because I’ve already wrecked it, and it didn’t phase it. I was riding kinda recklessly going a little over 10 miles an hour and tried to transition from the road to sidewalk, and hit a curb and it tossed me head first over the handlebars. It was quite a spill and hurt like hell. , but It was so late at night and since it had to look devastating, I immediately checked to make sure nobody witnessed my catastrophic crash…phew. Though my body wanted so badly for me to just lay there in pain, the adrenaline from avoiding exposure was too much. So, I whisked my mangled body back up on the scooter, and zipped home which was just a few blocks away. I didn’t think for a second the possibility of the scooter being damaged and not working, and sure enough, the crash didn’t phase it one bit…thankfully. So, it passes the durability test so far. It charges quickly, obviously has a sturdy frame, and has a good battery life. For the price I paid for this I’ll say I am definitely satisfied with my purchase and will surely recommend it to others. Just don’t underestimate the speed these things are capable of, because you are very vulnerable if you aren’t careful every moment you’re riding these things. I got lucky in a sense, even though it left me in serious pain for nearly two weeks and with some epic battle scars. I would recommend getting some discreet elbow pads and a helmet, because It just might save you from having a serous injury like it could have with me. I sure regret not having them on for my recent splash. Asphalt is no joke and does not have any give when the human body comes into contact with it. It hurts. Oh, and for those concerned with the state of the asphalt…it’s fine, I didn’t hurt or damage it at all. ... show more

    • Inexpensive & Fun Commute
Uber is becoming more expensive, so a year ago I decided to purchase the PhantomGoGo R1-350W scooter for my commute. My commute to work is 5 miles (8km) roundtrip and depending on traffic, I could get to work in 15 to 20 minutes. I decided to upgrade to this PhantomGoGo R1 with the 450W/peak 550W motor. Now I can get to work in 10 to 15 minutes! There is no major assembly to do! You just take it out of the box, flip the handle bar up and adjust, attach the seat (it's already mounted on it's post), mount the rear basket with the supplied hex-key wrench and top off the battery. It is fun to ride and great for short errands or just riding around the neighborhood to local parks. The packaging was horrible! Glad I purchased the 2 year warranty at an EXTRA cost because of the item is damaged due to the poor packaging, then I’d probably be responsible for repairs.

    • Suddenly propels backwards
I bought this thing in July 2024. It has been great for camping and for cruising back-and-forth to the park in my neighborhood. It rides really smooth, has a decent battery life, and rides pretty fast. For some unknown reason, it began accelerating backwards. I don’t know how that’s even possible, but it will not drive forward anymore. I’m gonna attempt to take it apart and see if I can reset it somehow, but until then it’s completely useless. ... show more
