Doesn't really work. Action is too slow coming from the room side. From outside the sensor is too weak to open it unless you almost touch the door. Since it hangs in the neck it seems too far for the sensor to respond. Could be much better. The neck "remote" is also really big. Old technology for sure! ... show more

my daughter has one chipped cat and one that isn't and has a cat door that uses chips to let them in and out. So I got her this one so she can allow them to go in and out and the dogs can't.

Works as advertised. The thing is huge though for a cat though. My cats are walking funny as it kind of hangs down and bangs on their front legs. Would be better if it were smaller and less intrusive.
