I purchased two of these self filling water bowls they are great. my dog loves them. I don't get a bunch of bugs in them like in her open water bowls. They are a little heavy when you fill them. I struggled a bit to get them turned over but I'm a 60 year old woman and I'm not as strong as I used to be. Other than that they're great. the amount of water they hold is fantastic I put one on my front porch and one in my garage where my dog likes to sleep. I love this design. It works well. I cannot get my dog to drink from it. I don't know why he hates it. I showed him how to drink from it and even got him to drink from it if I use my finger to agitate the water but he will wait until he is almost dying of thirst and catch a toilet open before he would drink from this solid product. ... show more

Started with 1 just to see the quality. And was surprised , nothing came broken or cracked. Held more like 1 gallon and a half. Works great for cats, dogs, and even chickens! Has a decent steam for all small animals. Ended up buying 3 more so far!

I don't like that the smallest one (the one I ordered) has no lid for the reservoir but the cat loves it and the mouth is big enough to easily get a sponge or gentle brush in to clean, thus avoiding giving your pet moldy water. My stepmother's cat had a regular bowl before that kept getting food into it, but the opening on this one is small enough to avoid most of that, and still large enough that she can easily drink water. ... show more

I bought one of these and it works great. I figured since they are dishwasher safe I should buy another so we can wash one and swap to the other one. So after getting the new one I placed the older one in the dishwasher for the first time. Well the top part that holds water did not survive. As seen in the pictures. I have the .75 smaller version if it matters. I only used the top shelf in the dishwasher and I did not use extra heat for drying. I will probably buy one more but not put it in the dishwasher ever again. ... show more
