    • Replacement pump seems like a newer/better version!
After getting one of the PETLIBRO (I got the blue, “PLWF002” model) water fountains, I loved everything about it, and my two Chihuahuas, Benji and gizmo loved it as well. But, eventually I made the mistake of having it running when the tank was completely out of water so the pump got messed up and wasn’t working properly so had to get a replacement and it works perfectly and I have no problems with it. And I’ve even noticed that it’s not the same exact version that it came with the water fountain. Originally, the pump seems to look the same, but definitely looks like a newer version or model of the pump. Now, the only thing I REALLY wish is that PETLIBRO sold a replacement water foundation spout for the “PLWF002” model because I seem to have misplaced it somewhere and cannot find it anywhere so unfortunately I don’t have the cool little water fountain spout attachment for the water to come out of that it originally came with that because my dog gizmo would always drink from the water coming out of the spout, but my other dog Benji would always just drink from the pool of water. So I’m just bummed out for gizmo that seem to enjoy, licking the water coming out of the spout but he’s adjusted to now just drinking from the pool of water and I guess now I have nice calming waterfall sound coming from the fountain. Because before I would always stick on the water spout attachment, and when I would use that the water noise level was much lower, but now that I don’t have that it just has that bubbling motion of water coming out and that noise is actually pretty nice it’s like having those cool Zen water falls that people buy, lol. BUT! Still, if PETLIBRO would start selling replacemen water fountain spout for their “PLWF002” models that would be soooo great!!! (You know what?… I think I’m actually going to go ahead and message them directly after I submit this review on that idea, lol.) ... show more

I have two large fountains for the dogs (7 L/1.85 gal) and bought this as a replacement pump. These pumps need to be replaced frequently. However, this one lasted only 2 weeks. Yes, it is a small pump, but that would only affect the flow rate and how much liquid it pumps, not that it works harder and thus more wear and tear. The house water is on a large and thorough water filtration system that includes scale and a UV light, so water quality can't be the problem such as building up of scale or debris in the water that can shorten the lifespan. After this failure, I decided to approach it in a different way, as I couldn't continually order pumps. Went to the pet store and bought two fish tank external water filters (the type that hooks onto the tank). Used my existing fountains base and removed the top and pump. It works like a charm. If it is good enough to keep the fish alive, then surely it should be good enough for the dogs. The only problem is that I need to find a reliable small one with a UV light for the bacteria that inevitably is transferred from the mouth to water. No more than 10 gal filters, and the base needs to be at least 5.5 inches high. ... show more

I wish this was the pump that came with my cat's water fountain because it is way quieter. It worked like a charm I just had to cut part of the original tubing because it was too long, but if I ever need another I will definitely be buying this one again.
