Just attached to my Ruger American 30-06 and it’s a little smaller than I thought it would be, but appears it will work good! I had to put in my shells in every other holder or it would start to bow out. Seems to be good quality, will see how it works this hunting season.

So, I was surprised to see that this whole pack is covered in the soft side of Velcro material. I thought it was going to smooth, and water resistant like a backpack is. The inside is the soft Velcro half, and both outer sides are as well, the pack is soft Velcro on the outside, and the hook side of Velcro on the side facing the rifle stock. I wasn’t expecting that, I thought water would bead and roll off it. So, that means, that, I can stick anything to it I need. I can attach anything Velcro on the inside, or the outside. I can remove the pack part, and then stick anything I can come up with that’s Velcro to the stock in it’s place. Or, I can put the pack back on, and stick whatever that was going to be on the pack instead of the stock alone. This soft velcro seems like a sponge to hold water of it gets wet, but I also think that the soft Velcro is attached over the top of a water proof nylon or at the very least water resistant nylon surface. A lot of thought went in to designing this, it’s really quite ingenious. I just didn’t put as much thought in to ordering it, because I was expecting like, just a tiny nylon backpack. This is way more useful, and far more customizable that I was expecting. Also, I like that the pack is not very fat, it’s slim and can hold a magazine or two, and the Pick rail and rings perfectly without adding a lot of bulk. I didn’t want something too bulky, so, this is perfect. I just have to get past the part about it being soft, and fuzzy, which might be nice if I can keep it dry, which, let’s face it, I was going to try keep it dry already, it’s my rifle.

You see that American flag on it that makes you wanna buy it (prolly the only reason you’d buy this other than it being covered) is not included and Ik it looks grey it the picture it’s not whole things black which is whatever but acting like the patch comes w it is dirty

I don’t know what rifle is in the picture but it’s extremely small. I had to fully remove the draw string and re-lace it while holding the rest of it over the buttstock and even still a good 2-2.5 inches of my buttstock isn’t covered. I had a different one on but it interfered with my ability to use a sling and so I purchased this one for the open bottom. For reference I placed in on a Savage Axis II .308.
