* Update 6/11/25. Added 2 more, and they work great. They dont click all the way flush with the Wyze USB input (they are longer on the male side than normal). But they connect, and charge just fine. My camera's are all in weatherproof mounts, so I am not worried about water getting into the charging port. Weirdly enough after adding a solar charger, the Wyze app connects faster with each camera, and the clarity of the picture is improved. Dont ask me why or how, but it is. Even my family noticed how much quicker they connect on the app, and how improved the picture quality is... 100% sure it has nothing to do with this item, but I'll take it. Original Post: So I picked up 2 of these for a couple of Wyze outdoor cams (v1) that I am tired of going out and charging. They were on sale, so I figured 2 solar panels for basically 20 bucks, why not? Found a spot to mount them and had to move both once I installed the actual panel, so I could adjust it to the correct angle. The paperwork says to put them at a 30 degree angle, so keep that in mind. Ran the cord to my Wyze cameras. A couple of reviewers have mentioned that on Wyze camera's if you use this panel, the "on/off" switch and stuff is normally covered by a silicon plug, but you cant use it with these panels. So make sure your cameras are in a water safe place. Mine are, so it wasnt a big deal for me. If you need it to be water tight, look for another panel like Wasserstein. Also of note. The micro USB plug on the panels...it clicks into the wyze camera as it should, but it still sticks out a little. Makes your think the plug isn't in all the way, but if you feel it click in, it's good. I plugged them in, and went into my camera settings to tell them that they were attached to solar power. Both are actively charging, and working well. For 20 bucks, I am thrilled so far. Time will tell on longevity, and charging abilities, but for now I am happy! Edit: a week in, and all is great. My cameras show they are being charged each day, and have a full charge every time I check.

Using these panels to charge SimpliSafe WiFi outdoor security cameras. In use for 2.5 years. The panels still look and perform as new. In 2.5 years, I’ve only had to take down and recharge a camera once - and I easily solved that by re-orienting the panel to get better solar coverage. I also bought a pair of these panels for my daughter. She had trouble getting a decent charge at one location which was extremely shaded by her home and trees - almost no direct sunlight. But her other location was sunnier and works fine. My takeaway is that partial sun (say about 1/2 daylight hours) works fine to keep these SimpliSafe cameras fully charged. FYI, installation was easy on a hardi-plank sided home. The key is to choose the mounting location wisely and properly orienting the panel to get the most out of the solar rays. Note that SimpliSafe cameras are motion sensitive and partially asleep - so they probably use less electricity than ‘always on & recording’ cameras. I highly recommend these panels.

Worked for about a month. Now the panels are no longer charging my outdoor Simplisafe cameras despite it being closer to summer with more sunlight. Attempted cleaning plans, changing angles and replugging in. Would not waste your money on this.
