Takes a few days testing litter types, and levels to get the optimal config, but once you get it dialed in, it works great. The auto sensor has never worked as far as I can tell (would be nice), but I don't mind hitting the button once or twice a day. super easy to empty\clean. It does push some small items to the front, I tried to calibrate the scoop to move forward the extra 1\4 inch needed, but the motor housing seems to have a 1\2 inch groove for the lock, so it JUST misses a few things. Overall I'm happy with it, and for the price in comparison to other autobox's it's worth it. ... show more

We bought this for our two cats to save on time cleaning it …. I think it would be ok for just one cat !!.. two cats are to many !!… I wound up scooping out what was left behind !!?… for the price you pay, it’s not worth it at all … most of the time it did not pick up everything so you had to hand scoop it all out !!… with two cats the bin fills up very fast!!… so we had to change it a few times a week !… I was hoping for changing it out once a week… again, if you had only one cat, it would probably work better!… and you have to hand scooped out the urine due to it, sinking to the bottom of the pan… the machine. Just glides over the top !!.. so again, you have to scoop it out by hand !!… that’s something that I was hoping to avoid having to do on a daily basis !!… it keeps the smell down…. And the box itself is nice and big and very sturdy,…. The sides and bottom are nice and thick… And it’s easy to assemble… and it looks nice!… so in closing …. I believe it would do OK if you just had one cat….. still a little pricey for all, you still have to do with it !!. ... show more

The reviews were so mixed that I was Leary of this product when in fact this litterbox does everything it is supposed to. I have three cats and I am very impressed with my purchase. This self cleaning cat box not as clean as I thought it would be, but I guess being only $140 I should have known. Putting it together was super easy, no complaints there. My cats accepted it within an hour, although they are still getting used to the motor sound. It doesn't do its job very well though. I constantly have to scoop and scrape the box because it doesn't pick up urine at the bottom, which defeats the entire purpose of getting it. Also, after a few passes, you'll notice it stops smoothing the litter down and instead is just piling it up at the front onto the little barrier thing. It also doesn't accommodate wall poopers who put it right on the edge and it just ends up throwing it on the ground outside the box. I'm going to keep it because it does save me anxiety while I'm at work that it's at least SOMEWHAT clean, but my next smart litter box won't be this. ... show more

This cat box is just about worthless. I promise this box dosent scoop properly. I have had it for 5 months, and now the rake will not work properly. It keeps getting stuck while in process of raising. Also it only holds 2 days of cat pieces. Amazon would not help with any form of compensation. Very disappointed to spend so much. Buyers beware of this box. I've tried to get ahold of company trough phone calls wich I've left messages, and even emailed, and no response. This litter box has a year warranty too. Amazon has emailed them to and nothing. Very disappointed. ... show more

This is the least expensive automatic litter box that works. The assembly instructions aren't that great but if you watch the video, it makes sense. It is easy to clean with the bags. Last one I had used plastic boxes that were a pain to remove when full. This one is easy!

Update: Changed stars from 1 to 4. Using Clay Litter was killing the motor, its to heavy. I am now trying different litters. Hoping to find one that's light, doesn't track, doesn't stick to the bottom & I don't have to scoop. Purchased July 6th. It's now the end of October; so almost 4 months & the Motor is noisy like it's struggling to move. Didn't like the bags that came with it so after they wete gone we purchased a different type but works good. I like the convince of most of it being scooped... but I still have to scrape the bottom to clean it out because it seems to only pick up the poop. You Can Not put very much litter in the litter box or it will not work. Maybe 6-8 cups of litter at most. There is no cover so my cats kick litter out of it. I have a Matt under it which gets full of litter so needs cleaned every time. I also have to vacuum around it often. Sometimes the litterbox will manage to drop a piece of poop outside the litterbox. My husband likes it; but he's Never the one cleaning it. Honestly, I will NOT purchase another one. When this goes out (soon, sounds like a dying motor) I will purchase a standard litterbox with a cover. Because I still have to clean it out & also clean around it, I feel like it's the same amount of work for me as my old standard litterbox. ... show more
