This product is supposedly non stinging, but both of my Pyrenees I have to wrestle to the ground to get it in there ears.... It clears out the gunk, but wow either my dogs are super sensitive or it stings. I don't like having to wrestle to treat their ears so they don't get fungus... :-/

This is the best product we have used on our 3 dogs, 1 boxer and 2 Yorkies. The little ones like the ear massage after we put the drops in and we didn't realize our Boxers head was full of dirt until she shook her head after we put the drops in and massaged the ears. MUD litterally came out of what we thought was our deaf boxers ears (I should have used a face mask but she got me). Now she can hear again but she took several treatments. Highly recommend.

Pros - has the same active ingredient in the ear medication my vet prescribed “ketocanozole 0.1%”. The product is also larger and is better value per dollar. Cons - this product has a strong perfume smell. The ingredients list states that fragrance is added. Personally, I do not like this. I don’t see why ear medication needs to be perfumed. I can look past this for this bottle but I probably won’t be purchasing again for this reason. If your dog is sensitive to added fragrances, I would skip.

Our usual brand of ear cleaner/flush was out of stock. Out of desperation, I purchased this to try. This is an ear cleaner or flush, it is liquid, basically the consistency of water. This product has a very light scent which initially I was concerned about, but it is actually a pleasant kind of cucumber scent, not strong at all. It contains ketoconazole, which our vet recommended. This product turned out to actually be better than our old cleaner/flush that was out of stock. This product is great for removing “gunk” from ears. For ear issues, we generally use a big squirt in each ear, gently rub the base of each ear and then let the dog shake it out, (best done outside). I like doing it this way initially since ears can be painful and tender when inflamed. We do this flushing daily and after about a week, once ears aren’t as tender, we soak a couple of cotton balls in this cleaner. Put one in each ear and rub the base of each ear, then remove the cotton ball and gently use additional cotton balls to wipe the ear as needed. This product has saved us many vet trips and has become our new “go to” ear cleaner/flush. It is not an instant fix, it takes a week or two to begin seeing improvement. Once ears are healthy, we use this as a flush, once a week or so to help keep bacteria and yeast away. For dogs with extremely painful or swollen ears, we do still make a trip to the vet for a prescription ear medication containing a steroid for more immediate relief. We definitely recommend this ear cleaner/flush. It works great and the price is fantastic.
