I give my cat two meals a day and include about 3 of these with both meals. I stopped giving them to her for about 2-3 days and she threw up some fur so she is back on them. I do wish they knew how many carbs each has because she is on a high protein, low carb diet and I am not sure these would be ok to feed without the meal for her or as a treat. Regardless, they are working and it’s fewer than the one per pound a day so the bag lasts a while. She knows the bag and sound of it opening and comes for them. They are a small size which is nice and pretty much the only dry “food” she receives. ... show more

Update: April 29, 2024. I first bought these treats on March 13, 2024. After using them well over a month I can now say they work! The reason my cat was puking was because I was still giving him a few Get Naked treats. After I stopped, he hasn't had anymore hairballs. The hairballs break up and go out with the poo like the Get Naked treats used to do before 2022. My cats still love these treats like crazy. So I changed my review from 3 stars to 5 stars!! My cats have been on these treats for a week. They LOVE the taste, and the youngest hasn't had any hairballs. No diarrhea. But my oldest has longer hair, and has had BIG hairballs over the last 2 days. Mind you, they aren't as stressful, as hard to expel, or as harder and tightly wound as they are on Get Naked Hairball treats by NPIC. (Since they changed their ingredients/manufacturing recently, he would struggle to expel the hairball and would vomit 8-9 times afterwards.) With these treats my oldest expels the hairball and it's done. However, the bile from the treats stains the carpet badly. You have to clean it up right away! I add organic extra virgin olive oil and organic psyllium husk powder to their food in hopes that it would help the hair go through to the other end like the Get Naked treats used to prior to 2022. ... show more

She is a little hair ball so thought we would try and proactive and help her with hairballs. So far she seems to really like these, you get her attention immediately when you pick up the bag, she's right there so taste must be pretty good. As far as value goes they are way more expensive than regular treats but they are NOT regular treats so evaluate accordingly. If they work and so far no reason to doubt they don't, only more time will tell. But I thought they were cheap enough to try out, again if it works and cuts down on her hairballs then it's definitely worth the money. ... show more

Final Review! June 4th - both of my cats take this probiotic every day. My girl with CKD has an easier time in the litter box going #2. Although, she is on a wet food diet exclusively now so I'm sure that helped. My girl also vomited a bit since we started this probiotic. I am chalking the vomiting up to nausea that comes with CKD. Both of my cat's coats are nice and glossy. My cats eyes are shiny and vibrant. My cat's dry skin from midwestern winters is no more. No dry skin itching. My cats have a good appetite and they stay active so they burn off the calories fast. My CKD girl struggles with her appetite (part of the illness) but this probiotic makes it possible to get her food down. Good product! I mix this with wet food and sometimes sprinkle it on top of kibble. So far it seems this product works fine for my 2 cats. I have a cat with CKD. She constantly vomits right after eating (1-3x every other day) and she strains to go #2 in the litter box. It has been a battle to find out why she can't keep food down or pass it. The vet says it's stuck hairballs that can cause all this based on an x-ray. I think that CKD also that causes cats to feel nauseous or have toxin build up in their bodies preventing them from eating properly. CKD causes massive dehydration and that's what her #2 seemed like. I was researching which fiber I should try giving her to ease her system. I learned that probiotics would be a better route than just pumpkins. I stumbled on this product. After using this for about a week: my older cat has not vomited undigested food. I'm so used to the retching and the heaving and racing to take her to the trash can. She is going #2, regularly. The waste is soft and a good size amount. Much better than non existent, like before. I am happy to see that she is being more productive when going to the litter box. I was dreading how badly she is malnourished because she kept throwing up her food so often. This probiotic seems to help keep the food down and passes it through. There is a slight improvement in her coat. There is an increased appetite. If you know a CKD cat, it is critical to make sure they eat. She is gaining weight, looking forward to meal time, asks for food more often, and seems her system is getting corrected. I plan to keep using this to keep my cats (ckd and non ckd) regular. I will update the review when we are half way through the container and when we complete the container. Especially, as part of a very careful regimen for my CKD girl. Every CKD cat should be on a probiotic. I wish I was using this sooner. I wish my vet would have told me instead of making switch foods and forcing medicine into her body. It is expensive and smells yucky but is needed. In addition to this probiotic, my ckd cat takes these for her kidneys and stiff legs: forza10 renal support, dasuquin, kidney support gold for cats, and Standard Process feline renal support. ... show more

The first time I offered these to my two cats, they gobbled them up. I thought I had a winner. The second time they ate them without excitement. Then, the third time they just turned their noses up and walked away. I have tried them a few more times without success.

I am honestly surprised that my fur baby took to these treats immediately. She has never been a picky eater, but there have been a few foods or treats bought for her in the past that didn't make the cut. She struggles a lot less with throwing up hairballs & her digestion seems to have improved. It's been less than a month since I've purchased the treats for her but I see the improvement in her already.
