These feeding mats were perfect for our dogs. I love the round shape, and their water bowls fit nicely on the mat with plenty of mat space surrounding the bowls. I was looking for a mat to be placed under my dogs water bowl that was made of silicone but not cheap made. I found this mat and it’s perfect! It has a slightly raised edge so that when my dog drinks water it stops the water from spilling into the floor. The mat is a nice silicone which makes for easiness to clean and water will easily evaporate off the mat so you do not have to clean up any spills every day!

I use a wide metal pan that's 3 inches tall on top of a 5 gallon bucket to feed my very large breed dogs and this fits perfectly on top of the lid of the 5 gallon (does not fit perfectly on the underside of bucket where there is overlap). This mat is sturdy, washable, and perfectly large but just small enough to fit. To me this means maximum traction given the space available. The pan no longer slips off the 5 gallon during meals (making a noisy sound that scares the dog) but there is still a little slipping once the pan is lightened near the end of the meal. Therefore the dogs eat most of their food now (until the pan moves) vs stopping way earlier, which is a big improvement. But it is not 100%. See pic but excuse the stains as my setup needs to be washed.
