These are pretty good lights for the price. I bought and returned a different brand of these because they were like one light every three feet - these are about one light every 12-15 inches, which really gives the effect that you're probably looking for. They were easy enough to install, although the adhesive backing was worthless so just plan to screw them in. The included screws were again decent but could be better (self-tapping would be nice considering the under-eave install is going to be screwed into plywood 99% of the time) but they did get the job done. The app isn't bad and you can do some cool scenes with it, better than the remote but the remote can get the basics done without a problem. It took me about two and a half hours with zero planning to get these installed, and that includes taking them out of the box and thanking the delivery driver. One thing I need to reach out to the seller about is cutting the strip to length - the app has a thing where you can tell it how many LEDs are on the strip and it will stop sending power to the rest, but it doesn't say anywhere how to actually trim the strip to length. Not wanting to hang around on a ladder in the cold, I just hit the excess behind my fence line, but it would be really nice if they just put a section in the little manual about how to cut it to length.

I would strongly advise you consider a different brand of lights. While I REALLY want to love these lights and give them a 5-star review, there is no way I can. My husband spent over 10 hours installing 3 strands of these lights. Please note, if you need beyond 100 feet of lights, don't buy these. They do not connect. Each one is completely separate. I really wish I had purchased a more expensive single set. Once we got them up and set up and hooked up to the app which took longer than I would like, we finally thought we had the answer! They were looking cool and we got lots of compliments. Then, it rained. One of the plug/adapters quit working. I spent over an hour on the phone with amazon support only to be told to order a new box, take the plug and adapter out of the new box, and return the defective one. So, we did just that. We got the new setup running and again, thought we were good. It rained again today - ugh. The same strand/adapter quit working - again! These plugs/adapters are NOT waterproof, obviously. We are stuck - what can we do at this point? Removing 300 individual lights (he put the screws and the adhesive up) is NOT an option. My husband does plan to build a box to hide these adapters/plugs in - but I think we are too late again. And to top it off, I don't know who to contact. I am frustrated to say the least.

We bought these outdoor lights for our holiday decoration. The installation only takes one time effort, and the process is straightforward and easy. It took me about 1 hour to install the lights and I don't need to do it again the next year! The lights are waterproof and of good quality. I like how easy it is to control the colors through the app. I also like the music sync option, which adds a fun and dynamic effect during gatherings. Overall, they greatly enhance the look of the house and are a great choice for permanent outdoor lighting.

Let me start with the good. For the price (as of Nov/25 they are $89) these are a nice set of lights. If you want a reasonably priced way to get into the permanent programable light game these will likely check that box. They seem well made and hopefully they last for at least a few years. Now the maybe not bad but less than good. The power supply seems to have enough power for these lights and nothing more. I wanted to solder in two "extension cords" where my roof lines transition so didn't have LEDs on the side of my house and the power supply couldn't even handle the extra wire. All the lights after the extra wire were dim and reacted very poorly. This set of lights has a 24V and 1.5 amp power supply. Govee with the same number of lights has 36V and 4 amps. The colors are just ok. They aren't as crisp as some more expensive brands I have seen and since there is no white LED you don't get a true white color. This is more noticeable on my white siding. The app is ok but not great. I would like to be able to turn off individual LEDs like the ones I don't want to see on the side of the house. Hindsight being what it is I would likely buy the more expensive ones if I could do it again, but these will meet our needs and from a distance they look great.

Arrived just in time! These lights make holiday decorating so much easier that I no longer have to switch out strings for different holidays. Installation is as simple as with conventional holiday lights. And since they're weatherproof, I can leave them up on my house year-round. And it's nice quality with very fine details. The remote is user-friendly and functional; even the elderly and young kids can operate it easily, and so much fun to program the color pattern. So far, the quality is excellent, and I highly recommend this product to anyone who loves holiday decorations. Worth of this investing!

After the LI battery burned out immediately. The lights came down. Total use time about 2 weeks tops. Moved them to another location about 3 mths later after having packed and stored them. They lit up fine the first night and now only half the 100 ft string lights up. I tried all kinds of on/off and changed feature. Nothing. What a waste of money.

We purchased these lights because they had decent reviews, and the product was priced very reasonably. We liked that it came with several preset patterns and allowed customization. The lights were the perfect length for our house, and the installation was relatively simple. I completed the process in a couple of hours using only the adhesive backs. We were excited to get the lights up and had fun a first trying some of the combinations. However, after the initial reaction, we found that the lights were very limited. Overall, we had three concerns that would prevent us from buying from this company again, and we are considering returning the product. If these are not issues for you, then you might like the lights as a discount purchase. 1) Sections of the LED white look green from the street or various angles. We thought the bulbs were green, but when we changed angles or got closer, the light would appear white. We noticed a similar effect with purple. 2) There are no settings for a tight alternation. For instance, for Christmas, we wanted a red/green combination---preferably every other light. The permanent lights our neighbor put up allow this, but our discount lights do not. Any color you select will stretch for at least 10 or so bulbs before alternating to the next color. We are possibly going to see what brand the neighbor put up and buy from that brand. I will most likely revise this review with that product name for anyone interested. 3) Some of the preset combinations don't look appropriate to the occasion. For instance, Halloween is red, purple, green, and blue. When displayed, it looks like regular Christmas colors. How does a Halloween setting not even have orange? So, in summary ... Pros -- easy set-up, several combinations, low price Cons -- limited options for static displays, poorly-designed presets, and odd tinting effect with the plain white and purple settings
