You don't need to necessarily have a Performance Tool Ball Joint set to use these adapters...I think I have OTC or something. They're all about the same. the kit worked great with the exception of the push tubes were not deep enough to allow the ball joint to be fully pressed out. I was lucky enough to have some pipe that I cut and used to make it work for me. But be aware that this could be an issue. it all could be fix with an extra 1/2 longer tube. ... show more

For those wondering. With a little planning all the parts required were there and this kit worked great for my replacement of the lower ball joints on my 97 Ford F-150 4x4. I did use moly/graphite assembly lube on the threads. I did not use an impact wrench because of clearance issues with the height I supported my vehicle. Manual effort was minimal. Next job is u-joint replacement, I will report any problems if any. ... show more
