    • The Clock was expensive enough that we returned it because....
This clock was actually quite pretty. However, when I opened the box when it arrived, I saw immediately that the clock's mechanism was held in its wooden case by two staples! As I started putting in the AA batteries, the mechanism was found to be hanging by a thread... it was held in by only one of the staples, and then suddenly, the mechanism fell down to the bottom of the cabinet! I was off to buy some crazy glue but the convenience store up the street in Des Moines where I live, ran out of it. When I told my wife about the problem and how I intended to do a quick fix with crazy glue, she retorted, "Oh no! We are going to return it because do you know how much it costs? $169.00... I was off to the UPS store, clock repacked and in hand. ... show more

This clock arrived well packaged in perfect condition. Very easy to assemble: Put in 2 AA batteries and hook the pendulum in place. Hang. That’s it! Keeps perfect time. No chiming to interrupt or annoy you. I love it!

This BEAUTIFUL Verona Clocks Best Silent Pendulum, Battery-Operated, Wall Clock, measuring 26 inch H x 12x4.7 inches D, that I recently purchased on Amazon.com from family-owned 'lovelyhomeessentials', looks like it's been living on our brand new Dining Room wall forever... I am still working on the room's configuration, and spent many hours searching online for the PERFECT 'grandfather' clock, and I truly believe I FOUND what I was looking for!! The only thing for me to do when it arrived perfectly packaged(!!) was to install the pendulum and 2 'AA' Batteries, and then hang it on our wall to live happily for years to come. The lovely medium tone of the wood grain blends 'perfectly' with our Dining Room furnishings. I carefully and thoughtfully placed it on the front wall so it could easily be seen all the way through to our new Family Room (which is greater than a 50 foot span)!! Thank You for this AMAZING clock, and for the workmanship involved!! This will become a cherished heirloom to be handed down through our family for generations to come!!
