We needed a replacement space heater to replace one that suddenly quit. Since it would be using in the living room where we watch TV, a unit that operated quietly was preferred. We tried two units from local box stores, but either they had an unstable base for carpet or were too noisy. Since box units in the stores do not list decibel scores, it meant shopping online. This Pelonis unit checked off several boxes: as quiet as 32 Db, swivel base, taller unit, controls on top, 3 fan settings, tip-over and overheating safeguards, and the bonus of a remote. We've been using this regularly for the past few days, and it performs quite well. The highest fan setting is quiet enough that it does not interfere with TV or music sounds. The swiveling mechanism is quiet and moves at a good enough pace to distribute heated air evenly. The ceramic heating element is long enough to create heat for a larger area, and sits high enough in the unit to make it safer to operate. The control buttons on the unit and the remote are simple and easy to navigate. It's a powerful unit, but hours of continuous operation do not cause the cord to overheat, as does with some units. We highly recommend this unit. Yes, there are some units that are quieter, and we considered another on; however, it was $45 more expensive than this one. Pelonis is a brand we've used before and trusted, as well.

I live in a 588ft apartament studio and I don’t use the apartment heater to avoid a high bill. I just use the central air and the apartment is too cold sometimes so I needed to buy a heater to keep it warm for a few hrs. I love the heater. It doesn’t warm the whole apartment like the apartment’s heater but I can feel the difference. I usually turn it on twice a day (in the morning before I shower and at night before I go to sleep) the first night I used it I had to turn it off because I got hot, so what I do is that I set the timer so it turns off automatically after 2-4 hrs depending on how cold it’s and how late I’m going to bed. I love that it swings, that it has a remote control, it’s not too noisy, and the timer (in case you forget to turn it off). I’d like to has an app so you can set it to turn on auto by the phone.

This 16" heater lives up to its description and hype. All the functions work as they should. I like that the temp display is on the front and not above because I have it under a table. The remote works fine but only at a 30° angle from the unit, so pretty much in front of it. I was hoping to operate it from my bedroom, but it's not a deal breaker. At least I don't have to bend down to operate it, as I have a bad back. It heats up fast and pumps out the heat better than expected. It's very quiet too. I'm very happy with my purchase and recommend it.

Govee just recalled all of their wifi smart heaters. We had four of them that were wonderful. Now we quickly needed replacements as winter is only a couple weeks away. I was hesitant and anxious about this Pelonis heater. We previously went through a number of different heaters that did not live up to the task. When the Pelonis arrived yesterday, I quickly plugged it in and began testing it out. Happily/thankfully it performed extremely well and I just ordered two more. If there is one thing lacking, it's the remote. I think it is useless. The reason is that the display for the heater is on top of the unit. You cannot see it unless it's no more than a few feet away and lower than eye level. Put the display on the face of the unit somewhere in either the top or bottom one inch. Overall, this model has the right combination of functionality, size, and price. It's a winner. Update Jan 6, 2025 Having used the heaters for almost 2 months, we now have a good amount of experience with them. As a result, I lowered from 5 to 4 stars. There is nothing particularly wrong with it functionally. Like other heaters we've tested, it is just not fully up to the task as far as ability to get the rooms to the target temperature (a mere 65). More than anything, I am missing the smart functionality of the Govee's we had to destroy due to recall. Being able to remotely control the unit is desirable. More importantly I need the ability to have it run on a schedule. This morning I just ordered a smart unit from another manufacturer that was recently introduced, and hoping it will do the job. I had seriously considered the new Pelonis 30" smart heater, but there were too many reviews indicating wifi issues.

Purchased this heater and it doesn’t even heat the room effectively. It makes a noise when it’s on, but it doesn’t actually warm up the space. I checked everything, and it seems like it's just a defective unit. Super disappointing.

Okay so I have only used for 2 days, so I can’t yet speak of how it affects my energy bill or if it’s going to last a long time. However; What I can tell y’all about is how well it heats my house. I have it in my living room, and it’s open to my kitchen too. So it’s heating a rather large area. It makes no noise. Someone else wrote a review saying that the on off ect is on top of heater and they would rather have it on the side to see what it’s set at from across the room. For me, this is not a problem. The remote control works well and you just aim it and it works. I keep it on a low setting, and basically I have kept it at 70 degrees and if I feel chilly at all, I crank it up a notch or two with the remote. It works so good heating up my room that I have only turned it up one time, otherwise 70 seems to work perfect!! This is the little heater that acts lukewarm a big heater! I have two of the Pelonis fans for summertime and those fans work better than any fans that I have ever used!! They blow like crazy with more blades and a really high setting that saved me the last two Summers’s!! That’s why I chose this brand! GREAT PRODUCTS!!! Buy it! You will not be disappointed. PS. I paid for my fans and heater. I am not someone that gets any kickbacks for leaving a review (I wish I was getting free products). Pelonis makes a great product!!👌
