Love this fan! My boyfriend and I live in his mother’s basement, with that being said we don’t have central AC and we don’t wanna use a window unit and add more moisture. We live in Georgia and it has been a hot summer, so I was looking for a good fan and this is it! It’s literally half the size of the original fan I had but it puts out so much air that it feels like a wind tunnel. I absolutely love it. The remote control is also a very nice addition. Very nice fan. I like the multiple functions that it has from the remote. I bought for it's DC and efficiency. I had another one similar from the same company that was a DC motor and tested the efficiency and sort of crazy how much less power it uses compared to a cheap box fan. If comparing the same air movement in a room the power usage is substantially reduced and just in power savings would probably pay for the extra cost over a few years. I have not tested the power consumption on this particular model but would assume it is really good based on prior model. ... show more

I'm not happy with this fan.It seems to be running on the same speed for the low,medium and high. Where is the high speed air I'm supposed to be feeling. The one it shows on the website. This isn't cooling my room off at all. So disappointed. Might just put it in my kitchen if I ever need it to blow smoke somewhere Maybe it will work for that. ... show more

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I purchased the Pelonis looking for the power of a blower fan with an oscillating base. That's what I typed in the search anyway. It's far better than a typical box fan, but it's definitely not moving air as much as my (XPOWER P-230AT Mini Mighty 1/4 HP 925 CFM), and that's with the XPOWER being on the low setting. I'd say it comes closer to my (Lasko Portable Utility Fan, 12” 289 CFM Pivoting High Velocity Air Mover Blower Fan) I realize I'm comparing consumer blowers fans to a Pedestal Fan, but hey, that's all I got. LOL. If you live in the south and are using a box fan, you're tripping. Blower fans have a lot of airflow and are easier on your light bill than running central air. I'm just saying. I wouldn't pay full price for this fan. BUT since it's summertime and I was looking for a powerful oscillating fan. I'll just keep this fan. I don't feel like taking it down and returning it. I mean, it is a decent fan. Automatically moving vertically and horizontally is cool. I do believe they just pulled those CFM numbers out of nowhere. But I'm not an Expert. Would I buy this fan again? Probably not. I'd do some actual researching on pedestal fans 1st. Or maybe I'm just a blower fan type of person. I don't like that you can't turn the beep off. I like this fan, it is calm (on the first speed I don’t hear it at all), it turns its head from left to right and/or from down to up positions due to your choice, or just blow straight. I barely ever write a bad review, but this time I have to, this fan is very expensive and it barely produces any air, I have to be at least a foot and a half in front of it to feel any air coming from it, and that is on the highest air setting. who is going to be sitting right on front of a fan all day long to feel any comfort from the heat?
