Description

Q: How does the Peekaboo Early Gender DNA Test work? A: Using the latest technology, we extract fetal DNA in the mom’s bloodstream, which appears in the first few weeks of pregnancy. Then, we can detect if that fetal DNA contains the male (Y) chromosome, indicating that you’re expecting a boy! If not, you’re pregnant with a baby girl! Q: How early in pregnancy can the Peekaboo Early Gender DNA Test be performed? A: Peekaboo can be performed as soon as 6 weeks into the pregnancy with over 99% accuracy. As world leaders in DNA testing, our superior equipment and testing methodology make this possible. Use the Eligibility Calculator on our site to see when you can test. The test is not validated for earlier than 6 weeks. Q: What is the science behind the Peekaboo early gender reveal test? A: DDC scientists isolate cell-free fetal DNA from the mother’s blood, followed by amplification of both Y-chromosome and autosomal-specific regions using the latest quantitative real-time PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) technology. Analysts are looking for the presence of the Y chromosome, which only males have. If the Y chromosome is present, then the baby is a boy; if it is not present, then it’s a girl! Q: I'm nervous about collecting my own blood. What do you suggest? A: We totally understand, and we have a few options for you. If you’d prefer, you can have a female friend help (a male helper could contaminate the sample, so be sure to ONLY get help from a female!). Many women find that the new Peekaboo Click or Peekaboo Click Express option is easier to use and virtually pain-free since it collects blood from the upper arm – avoiding sensitive fingertips! The Peekaboo test was developed and is manufactured by DDC (DNA Diagnostics Center), a trusted leader in DNA testing for over 25 years. All samples are tested in-house in DDC’s state of the art laboratory, which maintains the highest accreditations available.

  • Do not count on this as being reliable!
I've purchased this twice for my son and his wife the first child it was right it was a boy then we purchased it again for her pregnancy now and it told us a boy again but today at the ultrasound it's a girl so tell me how that happens so now I feel like we just got lucky the first time cuz it was a 50-50 chance and this second time was 100% wrong so this is not reliable please realize this and don't count on it but if you don't take it seriously I guess it's okay and there's a fee for running the lab test too so supposedly it detects the x or the y chromosome well are they saying that the lab tech did it wrong or what? ... show more

  • This works!!!
My friend showed me this and it was accurate for both of us!! She had a boy, I have a girl! Will continue to recommend to friends, just follow the instructions to not contaminate with any male dna (even a dog) and the reading should be accurate!

  • Highly recommend
I loved that the lancer test option was a cheaper option!! The test instructions were super clear and easy to understand! The lancer was big enough that it was easy to get enough blood to fill the vial with just one poke. I was so impressed with how fast the test results came back!! I had the test results within 2 and a half days of dropping off the sample at the FedEx store!! Update: My result was wrong!!!! I would think that the sample was contaminated if it read I was having a boy; however, it was the opposite!! The results said it was a girl however 20 week ultrasound confirmed it's a boy. My son was born and I have yet to get a reply back about a refund. ... show more

  • Don't wait if you want to know the sex !!!!!
Ok this is my opinion but others can be different. I did not find this Lance test as bad as I thought it would be. I found it very easy to set the lance(needle) on the sink and then push down instead of holding it other hand and pushing. The only challenging part was making sure all blood got into the collection. Be nice if there was somehow a funnel or larger opening. Overall my experience with this test kit was great. I highly recommend it. Has this all is a all-in-one price meaning you can find the kit cheaper but then you have to pay for the lab fees separate. Buying this lab fees included prick the finger fill the vial drop it off of FedEx and you go to results usually same day or next day after they receive it. I definitely say though that if you want to know the possible baby sex earlier than when your O/B will order blood test ultrasound and this is the way to go as a stated about 6 weeks. ... show more

  • Never ignore your gut instinct!!!! Baby girl on her way❤️
All I can say for any parents going over the reviews and deciding whether to trust this product or not? DON’T DO IT! The product results came back the first time inconclusive so I was sent a free test kit back to me to start over which was the only reason the company gets a single star from me. However, the second time around my results were wrong! The email said It’s A Boy in blue letters and I knew the second I read that it had to be false. I had totally opposite symptoms this pregnancy vs my other two, which were actually boy pregnancies. Never got sick once with them and this time I was on the verge of getting admitted into the hospital because I was so severely sick with morning sickness and dehydration and just completely sick and miserable! That and I just had that gut feeling the baby was in fact a girl this time. My boyfriend was so excited to hear the results came back and when he thought it was a boy, he was a little sad but wanted to tell the world right away! I wouldn’t let him so we kept it a secret until we saw the anatomy scan and could see for ourselves! Glad I made him wait on telling people, that result was completely false. My advice would be to hold off until the doctor orders the NIPT bloodwork gender test if you do not want to wait for the 20 week scan! ... show more

  • Well with the money bought twice for 2 different pregnancies and right both times!
I have bought this twice for both of my daughters when they were pregnant! And BOTH times the test was 100% accurate! I hands down would buy this again! I bought my youngest daughter this time this peekaboo and another one the urine test and the urine test was wrong! It said she was having a girl! The peekaboo blood test kits said I was having grandsons and I have grandsons! Well worth the money!!!!! ... show more

  • It’s accurate…until it’s not…
Our family has used Peekaboo twice now and I’m not sure I would ever use it again, personally, my family members might choose to! The first time we found out she was having a girl, fantastic! The whole thing is, you clean clean clean, only thing the test should find is mom’s blood and if she has a baby boy, that’s where male DNA should be found. We cleaned and sanitized our hands and supplies in the same bathroom, 2 years apart, but she found out the second baby was in fact not a boy like Peekaboo said, but a girl in her 16 week scan. It’s user error, they test what we send them, we simply didn’t send a clean sample 🤷🏻♀️ My message to other customers: If you trust yourself to keep a super sterile environment…then get it, if your spidey senses are telling you to be concerned…listen. My message to Peekaboo: I love your product, it was so much fun and the instructions are easy to understand, supplies easy to use, no issue, but maybe just congratulate them on girl results and for boy results tell them to consult their OB? That’s so not as sparkly but it’s realistic… ... show more

  • Not worth the money and they don’t refund if wrong
I did the test as instructed. The finger prick didn’t even gather enough blood. I had to sterilize a needle and prick my own finger. Then, I got the results saying it was a boy. I went and got multiple ultrasounds that clearly showed it was a girl so it ruined the element of surprise for my gender reveal. I messaged the company to let them know the error and they told me they will only refund once baby is born and I submit a birth certificate. Which is insane!!! What if someone has a still birth or miscarry their child. These tests aren’t cheap at ALL. So, this guarantee they have on the page is BS!!! ... show more
