I love that this doesn't have a ticking sound so I don't have to have that in the background while I'm trying to find fall asleep. It wakes me up and is incredibly loud and specific with time, for me personally though the sound is a bit jarring and wakes me up in a little bit of a negative headspace/ shock which is better than oversleeping but not ideal for a start to my day ... show more

Important: Because this is a 12 hour clock, you do have to turn the alarm to OFF throughout the day and turn it back ON every night. Not other issues. Big text in the color I selected. Excellent value for price. LARGER then an authentic wind up. Battery life doesn't seem to effect accuracy.

My spouse has some hearing loss. He can’t hear regular alarm clocks so I’d be woken up to then wake him to turn off the alarm Thankfully, not anymore! This clock is loud and he hears immediately so he can stop it.

This alarm clock will always wake me up, however, it does almost give a “panic” response. It does not have a snooze function so unfortunately with my lack of willpower and discipline I often fall back asleep. If you do NEED to wake up this will surely wake you up. I’ve kept it because when it’s important, I do actually wake up and stay up. No need to worry about the power going out because it’s battery powered and seems to last quite a while.
