I need a very simple bedside clock. AM or PM, I can't deal with complex digital features. This is a clock made the way alarm clocks were made back in the day. The numbers are big and clear, and you can light the clockface at night by pushing a big button that’s easy to feel in the dark. The alarm is loud and annoying — but that’s just what I need if I hope to catch an early flight or arrive in time for a dentist appointment. The alarm is easy to set. So is the time. And yes, time passes on this cute clock in utter silence. No obnoxious ticking whatsoever! I like the cute little handle on top that lets you carry the clock on one finger from room to room. I like the little ball feet that keep the clock stable. Perhaps this clock is somewhat cheaply made (in China), but I still like it. It satisfies my needs and my Victorian taste. I love the look of this clock. I bought it for our guest room. I realized the previous clock was a problem when our guest moved it out of the bedroom. It was ticking too loud. This clock looks good AND doesn't disturb anyone's sleep. It's in the guest room so I don't see it all that often, but it seemed easy to read and it was certainly easy to set up. I've only had it for a month or so, so I can't speak to how long it will run well, but right now, I am a satisfied customer. ... show more

Got this clock to go with the aesthetic of my room and get my phone out of the room when I’m going to bed. It works great, the alarm is loud enough to wake me up but also somehow not disturb my partner. There is a snooze button which is nice but there is no am/pm distinction so you have to turn it off if you don’t want it to also go off in the evening. Thats fine except I am now relying on my crappy memory to turn it on each night instead of having the luxury of a digital or phone alarm that you can program to stay on all the time and only go off in the am. I am getting up faster in the morning and sleeping better now that I’m not on my phone in bed though! Only other complaint is that it’s so lightweight and kinda cheap feeling that I knock it over ALL the time. I’m afraid it won’t last that long but I don’t really have proof that it won’t last either lol overall would purchase again ... show more

The alarm is good sound and I'm sure it will wake me up when I have to get up early. Everything's good! Well and accurately shown in the ad presentation. Has style without flash and love the numerals and hands designs. Appreciate the common availability of the power source of one (only) AA battery . Suits me personally that the nighttime illumination is only on-demand, and the light's on-button is in a very natural, intuitive spot. and that that particular button also the alarm "pause". (No fumbling about for either use, thank you very much!) My only caution is a warning sticker that tells you to turn the adjustment/setting buttons only in the direction indicated by the arrows, or you might well wreck things. That sticker is on the bottom of the clock, and I had already set it before I saw it. I moved the sticker to the back of the clock for anyone else to see, down the road, as it's in the guest room. (and no, hadn't wrecked and didn't then try to see if it really would.) ( Kinda wanted to though-just because contrariness runs deep. smirk.) ... show more
