I somehow ended up with the Xbox version, although I have a PS4. It does work on my PS4. It seems a little quieter than other headsets on the same settings. This is a cheap, kinda crappy headset. Don't expect much from it. I needed some spare headsets around the house, and this will do fine for that purpose, but I'd never want to use it during online multiplayer gaming given a choice. As far as cheap headsets go, it works like you'd expect a cheap headset to work.

Very light headset and well made. Can be worn for hours because of comfort and weight . Well made too. Microphone needs to be right near mouth because it isn't very sensitive but also not in an uncomfortable way, it's good.

After having so many issues with OEM Microsoft headsets earlier in the Xbox One lifecycle, I decided to try the PDP brand. And after having a couple of LVL 1's I really prefer his brand. This headset offers some improvements over the LVL 1 but also some drawbacks. The Good: 1. The adjustment of the microphone is better. It's way more flexible than the LVL 1 which had a flimsy plastic microphone with limited positions 2. Sound quality: Sound quality seems to be a decent amount better. My friends can hear me well. The Drawbacks but not necessarily deal breakers: 1. Maybe it's just me. But I like having a dedicated mute switch in the cord itself. The LVL 1 has that. This you have to spin the microphone it an upwards position. It feels a bit flimsy I must say. A dedicated mute switch is more efficient and keeps your microphone in place 2. Comfort leaves a bit to be desired. Not just with how much you can extend it to fit your head. But with the fabric over the earcup. It feels slightly like sandpaper. The LVL1 has fake leather, which definitely feels soft and plush around my ear. Overall, I'd choose this over the OEM Microsoft headset any day! Not only is Microsoft charging a good amount more, but from my personal experience Microsoft peripherals have really declined in the Xbox one generation. That's just my personal opinion. Case in point, this is a great budget headset. Cost is very reasonable. And they do tend to last quite a white.

This is my 3rd different Xbox One headset I've purchased during my 5 years as an owner. Honestly, you shoudn't be expecting much out of this product other than being able to chat with your friends online. I've previously owned the Astro A40 as well as (2) of the NUBWO gaming headsets (both of which died in 6 months or less). Bottom line is that you get what you pay for. I've only had this headset for one month so far but haven't had any issues. The "mute" option by raising the mic grip high doesn't always register on my headset for some reason. I find myself covering the mic entirely if I want to talk to someone in the room. It's also inconvenient if you have kids running around the house making noise. Having a mute option on the controller itself really helps in those situations. Mic quality is average. You have to talk at room level to be heard. In the end I just needed a mic to chat with friends, and on that end it's delivered. Will update if this also breaks on me and all xbox headsets are cursed

This product will happily replace that old crumby Xbox Headset that may have came with your Older model Xbox One. But you will need an attachment (which I already owned) for it to work properly on Older Model Xbox One controllers. The Newer Model with the 3.5m port on the controller was not tested for this review. But if you're looking for a Cheap Single-Ear w/ Mic replacement. Look no further!! Compared to Expensive Headsets on the market that fit around your ear, this replacement will be over the ear! (That or I may just have big ears) But be warned, this headset goes over your ears unless you have the Ears the size of an infant or small child. Sound quality is what you'd expect for a $15 Single-Ear headset.

I purchased these to talk on Xbox but they won't work with the controller. I found that it does work with my cell phone using the Xbox app. The sound is pretty good, but they don't feel sturdy which is why I wouldn't recommend for kids.
