1) Wood for walls floor etc is very thin and cheap. 2)Roof is very sturdy though, and keeps the chickens dry so that’s good. 3) Very cheap! 4) Perfect for 2 hens, could fit up to 4. 5) Great for urban chickens, bad for country chickens. Good for 3 maybe 4 regular size chickens but only if you'll be able to give them more leg room by opening the pen to a larger area. Easy to build, seems fairly study. We used chicken wire and posts to expand the run area. Chicken wire on top too. The laying box is outside of the penned area for ease in collecting eggs. ... show more

I purchased this coop and quickly realized that it is better suited for small variety chickens. As you can see in the pictures I had 4 hens: Rhode Island Red, Buff Orpington, Speckled Sussex and Golden Comet. As previously mentioned, we had to act quick and improvise due to the cramped space. We decided to move our chicken coop inside one of our vacant horse stalls so they can have more room. We leave the doors open on the coop so they can roost inside (or on top as pictured) and lay eggs in the nesting box. Unfortunately, before the move into the horse stall we didn’t noticed that pecking had started in the small coop which quickly escalated resulting in the passing of our Rhode Island Red yesterday. That event obviously wasn’t caused by the coop, but it’s important for potential consumers of this coop to understand that adequate space for chickens is of upmost importance and I highly encourage others to attach a run of some sort because the run space below the coop is simply inadequate unless the chickens are let out every morning. Only happy hens lay eggs and happy hens like to stretch their wings and legs! Overall the coop was easy to assemble but isn’t very sturdy. We were missing several screws for the door latches (each latch was missing a screw or two) thankfully we had some similar to the same size that we used. For the time being, we’ll continue using this coop until we can turn the vacant horse stall into a hen’s paradise. ... show more

    • Very cute and functional structure
This was the perfect fit for two chickens. It was easy to put together. The instructions are not detailed but if you follow the pictures and are good with tools you will be able to figure it out.

Total waste of money. Super cute in the picture but is horrible for assembly and falls apart extremely easily. The materials are very cheap. I don’t recommend this to anyone.

The coop is a decent size, I purchased it for my 3 chicks, and it appears that it will be roomy enough for them as they grow. BUT it does not seem sturdy at all. I'm not super confident that it will be able to withstand winter. The latch on the nesting boxes broke almost immediately after it was assembled and the nesting boxes also have fairly large gaps in the wood that the pine shavings fall through to the ground. I will have to line it with something because I'm having to refill it daily. The tray is pretty difficult to remove and put back in. The wood itself overall seems flimsy I've tried to be as gentle as possible with it because I don't want to have to buy and assemble another coop this year. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Could be better in some aspects. I think some more care about measurements would help. Other than that it has very neat features and space. Thanks

Ordered this Thursday afternoon ... it was in my driveway Friday morning🤤 Very sturdy cute little house once you get it put together! It was the biggest one I could find with a house Dimensions over 30 in, I am using this as a potty house for my cats, I plan to put a cat door under my stairwell in my kitchen to this chicken run outside. It was fairly easy to put together, however a lot of the drill holes were way too big so we had to re-drill a lot of holes and because these are my "babies" I added several extra screws.
