    • Great coop spacious and cute!
This chicken coop is a very good size however it does need to be waterproofed and since we live in Arizona it would not withstand the rain and heat here. Also the colors were a little dark and can get hot during the summer. As soon as we put the coop together we weatherproof the whole coupe with a white exterior weatherproof spray paint inside and out. And let it dry for a week until we let our young pullets use the coop. We put the coop in a 10ft by 10ft by 6ft chain link enclosure with a covered weatherproof roof. My 4 girls sleep upstairs comfortably and love to hang out in the side pens they also free range for +2 hrs/day. I don't think the coop its self is big enough to house chickens alone they need a bigger space. But it's a fine for smaller younger birds but once they get bigger they need a bigger area in addition to the coop. I would recommend this coop it is bigger than most that is why I purchased it but I do recommend weatherproofing it or it will not last long. Overall this is a fantastic coop! We occasionally have chicks hatched and need someone where for them to go fast, this worked for that, I put thin metal on the roof to hopefully make it last longer, my chicks will never climb to the top never have in many years so wish it could all be one level, but worked fast which is what I needed, don't expect it to last years, needs to be inside out of the weather or tarp it. It is made from cheap thin wood but that is what you would expect for the cost. Would not hurt to paint it with some good paint, so great if you don't mind doing a bit of extra work to make it last. Don't throw it outside and expect it to last forever it will maybe last one season. ... show more

Bought this chicken coop for my 6 little chicks and I love it! Couldn't be happier! It's very sturdy and the roof is waterproof. Plenty big enough for 6 baby chicks. Will need to expand it when they get a bit bigger but for now it's perfect! Much sturdier than I expected. The chicks seem to like it. I would definitely recommend it and it was very easy to put together. Well worth the price! ... show more

The pics of the chickens in the coop on this listing are definitely not too scale, they should be a lot bigger. Lol. Kinda flimsy and cheap, but it works for now. Definitely not a long term coop. Over priced for the quality, I think.

    • Mediocre at best. Not really happy with this coop. Money not well spent.
It was semi ok to put together. The directions we not labeled well and none of their pieces were labeled. The wood is very thin and not super lasting. Once the sides are on.....there is no moving them. They must he fastened. Making moving thebcoop very hard and almost impossible. In addition this cannot be put together alone. Also...the roof does not open...making the top part of the coop very hard to clean. ... show more
