    • Great coop spacious and cute!
This chicken coop is a very good size however it does need to be waterproofed and since we live in Arizona it would not withstand the rain and heat here. Also the colors were a little dark and can get hot during the summer. As soon as we put the coop together we weatherproof the whole coupe with a white exterior weatherproof spray paint inside and out. And let it dry for a week until we let our young pullets use the coop. We put the coop in a 10ft by 10ft by 6ft chain link enclosure with a covered weatherproof roof. My 4 girls sleep upstairs comfortably and love to hang out in the side pens they also free range for +2 hrs/day. I don't think the coop its self is big enough to house chickens alone they need a bigger space. But it's a fine for smaller younger birds but once they get bigger they need a bigger area in addition to the coop. I would recommend this coop it is bigger than most that is why I purchased it but I do recommend weatherproofing it or it will not last long. Overall this is a fantastic coop! We bought this for our two chickens we hatched during quarantine, as much as we paid for this product it really isn’t very sturdy …… the quality could be much better for the cost I could have build one way better for what this cost in the end…. If I only had the time to do so… which is why I bought this product and I must say it gives absolutely no protection from predators as things have gotten in since day one and my chickens are still in my basement . The chicken wire, the way and amount of staples holding wire on …. So many issues with this don’t waste your time just build your own. ... show more

This product is not weatherproof and the instructions were not very clear to put it together. At the first small rain the top warped and the pegs holding it on broke. I've had it less than a month.

    • Pretty good starter coop
This was a first coop for our chicks. The instructions were not super clear but we managed - it took 2 adults about 40 minutes to assemble. We've been using it for about a month & I can already tell the sun has faded it. I am hopeful that this lasts for sometime. It seems to be fairly sturdy but I am only giving it 3 stars for "weatherproof" due to the almost instant sun fading (we haven't even made it to summer yet here). ... show more

Bought this chicken coop for my 6 little chicks and I love it! Couldn't be happier! It's very sturdy and the roof is waterproof. Plenty big enough for 6 baby chicks. Will need to expand it when they get a bit bigger but for now it's perfect! Much sturdier than I expected. The chicks seem to like it. Some parts were chipped, upon opening box. Wish the top piece/roof would open. My chickens just push the hay/pellets down from the top. I’ve found the pre made square hay to be more useful since the chickens can’t kick it easily down. There’s only a small perch up top.     • Get what you pay for
The usual quality for online, prebuilt coops. Do not buy unless you are prepared to reenforce the hardwear, replace cheap screws and add woodglue to the seams to reduce the wobbliness. We also added a few coats of clear sealant to ensure it's more water resistant. Luckily, husband is ultra handy and we knew it would need the above mentioned upgrades. This coop is NOT predator proof, as it came. It would be suitable for a small, temporary coop for 2-3 chickens (depending on size) or if it is placed inside a larger, predator proof enclosure. ... show more

Larger than expected which was great. Assembly wasn't terrible but be sure to have your own tools. Birds appear to be content with the new space.
