It does what it says, though I had to glue a few lead strips to the bottom to help it stay on the bottom (it did sink, but when hooked up to air tubing, it doesn't want to stay put). My biggest issue is that it's not quiet at all. I've never had an air stone so maybe that's just how they are, and my tank is only 10 gal, which probably doesn't muffle noise as well as large tanks, but it kind of sounds like a white noise machine. It's no louder than anything else on my tank, though, but definitely adding to the sounds. It looks cool, though. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. These are so much fun. Wish I could post multiple videos. I can't capture still shots very well. So far I have 3 in use out of the 4 in the package. The 1st shown is under the bridge. It is larger than the bride so it is angled with low air pressure showing a few single bubbles it gives off in the ground in front of it and then an explosion of bubbles every few seconds from the actual bridge. The 2nd is under Poseidon. His base is wider than the wand and he sits on a rock so I angled him to get the effects I wanted. It even looks like I have more air wands running than I do. The 3rd is in my shrimp tank lol. The bubbles keep my mermaid sassy floating amist their spray singing her seiren song luring the little shrimp for her entertainment and mine. I'm very happy with them and I'm sure I'll be ordering more in the near future. I've been into aquariums for 30+ years. These seem well made and durable. I have bought more expensive junk in the past to try and do what I could easily accomplish with these. And bonus at an affordable price. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. So as far as giftable... if your friend is into aquariums or your a secret Santa and you know their into fish... your gonna be a hero. My shrimp tank is a 10 gal and the other 2 are in a 175 gal so there really isn't a tank size limit for these. The only limit is your imagination ... show more

I got four 12 inch bars. I only installed three. Two worked great and one only had bubbles out from the first half. But don't get me wrong, it's still great and doing good job. Four bars for about $12 is a great deal. They still performed much better than the topfin I got from petsmart for much higher price. I recommend this product for under $15. ... show more

soaked 2 of them (several hours) and put them in service, one has micro bubbles and needs a higher setting to push them (glad I have a good air pump), the other has larger bubbles, and needs less push. that said both bars work, were easy to place, have enough weight to stay put. and make lots of bubbles, my old discs had fouled from plant growth, this was needed. ... show more

They were probably too big for my air pump,so only half of it worked. But I wasn't going to buy another pump.Should of stuck with 4 inch length ones.
