DEFECTIVE: UPDATE - carefully pried out one magnet, reoriented it, door now closes as it should. Upgraded rating to 3 stars. Original Review: On the door I received the magnets are installed wrong. The magnets push the door open instead of holding it closed. Also important to know, it does not seal and has a very visible gap at the top above the hinge. Good for warmer climates if not defective, in colder climates get a door that seals. In addition, Amazon wants me to pay $7.99 to have a $17 defective item picked up so I will have to try to pry a magnet out to fix it since I can use it on a porch door IF I can make it actually close😞 ... show more

As you can see in the pictures, the part if the frame is cut out…it was deceiving in the instructions to cut this out when there was absolutely no reason to do so. Now I’m left with a huge cut out in the middle. I have a thin screen door, so I had to cut it to fit. Be warned…nothing could cut this without breaking the plastic!!! Had to have a neighbor cut it with a saw for cement. I have sent a product review to the company, asking for a replacement, as I now have holes in my screen door that no other doggie door will match! It works nicely…too bad the plastic isn’t easy to cut and the instructions weren’t accurate. If the company doesn’t honor their product and send a replacement, I have no choice but to order another one and NOT go by their instructions. ... show more

It worked well for couple weeks. Cat broke door off . It has cheaply made plastic components verses steel. Not very durable at all
