    • Be prepared! It's not hard, but it ain't easy either!

I was, like some others may have been, somewhat surprised at the 1-hour estimate for assembly. The longest parts of the assembly process were sorting the hardware and removing the protector for the heat shield/shroud. Honestly, I'm skeptical of any review that doesn't mention the difficulty of removing the blue protective film. More than anything else, this one step consumed my patience, as the film kept tearing and had cuts all over. That said, the film worked as intended and protected the equipment from damage. Once the film is off, you'll need to assemble the shroud. This step and the last step - putting the shroud on top of the heater - are the parts where a second set of hands are most useful. Given the price/performance, I'm incredibly impressed. I'd easily give it 5 stars if the hardware was sorted already and the protective film was easier to remove. ... show more

The joint between the upper pipe and the heater assembly did not match up. I had to bend in the pipe in at the pre-drilled holes and use different screws to make it fit. Other than that, it's a nice unit.

Assembly is very difficult. Instructions aren’t clear. Hardware all looks the same w/o clear descriptions. Parts are welded together and misaligned so you can’t properly screw in the screws and washers. Finally got it put together but it’s being held on with a wing and a prayer honey!! There was a key part missing, a reflector screw. Went to HD and bought some screw & bolts to make up for missing part. One screw hole was block so I had to tap it with my tap & die set.
