Since we're in the middle of a home remodel, I acquired this heater to use on our back deck, over the picnic table that's going to be there one day. In the mean-time I decided to test it by hanging it from the ceiling of our open carport. This is a nice looking heater, very classy. It looks to be well constructed with guards to protect against fingers getting burned and such. It comes with a chain to hang it from, which if it happens to be outside, might be subject to blowing winds especially during a hefty storm, but it would probably fare just fine as long as it wasn't banging into anything. The heating element is incased in a glass tube which is certainly part of how it obtains it's IP24 waterproof rating. An IP24 rating means that a product is protected from water spray from any direction. You shouldn't actually submerge it, but it should be fine operating outside even in a significant rain. I could see using this on a cool day, sitting on our covered back deck or under a Gazebo, with the rain coming down. This heater uses radiant heat which is similar to how the sun heats. It will warm objects the radiation reaches even if the air is cool. For the test, I hung it over our metal picnic table about eight feet from the floor. With it running on it's highest setting, (1500 watts - the maximum for wall sockets) even with a light breeze blowing, I could still feel the heat touching my skin. It wasn't hot, but it was enough to make a difference and you can feel the heat even if there is a slight breeze blowing. Because it radiates outward in a cone shape, it easily reached anyone sitting at the table. It looks like it spans out to maybe and eight foot circle from the height I had it. Of course, the further away, the less you can feel the heat. This heater has a main power switch on the back that turns on the green light and sets it to "ready" mode. Once switched on, the remote control will change the power from off to Low to High. In addition, the remote can set the "lock" feature which means it can't be changed. In lock mode you can't turn it off or on, or change heating level. Not the most secure but will likely keep small children from playing with it. The bottom line is, we liked this little radiant heater enough that we plan to buy another when we install it into its permanent place. over our picnic table.

I have a cozy nook on my porch with two chairs that we enjoy sitting in in the winter - but we get chilly. Right above our heads is a hook and I thought “a hanging heater would be brilliant here” and so it was. Right out of the box we hung it up and checked it out. Puts out great heat right above us and keeps us cozy. If you have a large open space I wouldn’t count on it to keep you warm if you’re not sitting under it, but if you have a closed in garage or work shop, this would do the job in a heart beat. There was really no set up, just plug and play, so that’s a plus. It’s very attractive and does come with a remote, which is a must considering it’s hanging from the ceiling. Quiet. The only con, and I’m sure there may be a safety reason for this or something, but the cord is quite short. I had to add an extension cord to run it to my outlet. Not that big of a deal, but the odds of you having an outlet right next to where the cord comes to an end is not very likely.

Super easy to set-up and was using it in just minutes out of the box. I have this in my shop that isn't insulated. This Pasapair Patio Heater works great placed just above the my work space and stay warm. Although it wasn't freezing I know there will be more output to help cut down on the cold. The remote is a great feature as it is up in the roof line and I can just remotely turn on/off and adjust. So far it is working great!

I love this heater, I cannot wait to use it this summer. It heats up a good amount of space in our garage. Large in size and produces a good amount of heat, made of aluminum I believe. I do wish the cords were made longer for the heaters. I will update this winter through the much colder months. Overall I love this heater.

Love this patio heater. Works well, easy to set up. I love that you can adjust the temperature with remote. Puts out a lot of heat when sitting under but doesn’t heat large patio area.
