We asked different brides, guests, event planner what were the ideal items in a Thank you for Celebrating with us gift bag; a resounding "stick matches." The matches came very quickly, all perfect-none broken! Beautiful size and White! The labels from another Vendor, not even 2* rating. But when all said and done and smaller orange gift and matches in small bow box and small bottle of Mezcal all fit in these cute little gold bags and given to all guests. LOVED IT!! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I purchased these plain matchbox for diy wedding favors for my wedding. I love how white and sleek they are as you can use them for any type of occasion or project. I will be printing out little labels and will stick them on with some glue or something to personalize them. There is approximately 17-20 matches in each box. There is only one match strike on one side of the box. I did break a match the first time I tried lighting a match but I think I was holding it too close to the end and not closer to the striker. Also I’m not use to using matches. So I’m unfamiliar with the “proper “ way to light a match. Do keep that in mind. I’m taking off one star only because I do think they could use better packaging. The matches come in a flimsy box and that was inserted into a yellow foam envelope. Thankfully it was handled with care but if it weren’t for that, I’m sure the match boxes would have gotten damaged.     • Better than similar matches from Yankee Candle
We are Nichiren Buddhists, so we use matches at least twice a day to light the candles on our personal home alter. We will easily use up fifty boxes of matches within six months, and I'm glad to say we will be ordering these from now on. The white balance of the product photo is off as the match boxes are plain white, not off-white as they appear. So you could write on the boxes or stamp them with whatever you like, whether it's to provide information on your business, as a nice thing to make available to guests which is personalized to your home or event, or just for fun. Like the Yankee Candle matches we've been using until we bought these, this is a Made in Japan product, so it's first rate quality. BUT the manufacturing quality of these matches is better. With the Yankee Candle matches, once in a while you get a match that is an inconsistent size, the stick might be too thin, it might splinter or break too easily, or the match head might be uneven or have more or less material than it's supposed to. With these matches the quality has been consistent from first to last, and that means less worry about safety, leaving a burn mark on a valuable piece of furniture, or sending a flying hot cinder to land on something that might catch fire. They light easily, so no striking the box several times to get the match to work or throwing away matches that turned out to be duds. With the Yankee Candle matches there aren't a lot of duds, but there are enough that I noticed and wanted better quality matches. BOTTOM LINE: A well made, classic product that never goes out of style or usefulness on it's own, and to which you can add style if you like. ... show more

I've purchased these a number of times as I make custom matchbooks. The quality is very inconsistent. The last batch I got, the matchboxes themselves were very loose and the striker very low quality. I unfortunately ordered 250 of them for a large order. I just ordered a pack of 50 and the quality is much higher. Very disappointing not knowing what kind I'm going to get. ... show more
