I bought this EV charger for my 2013 Chevrolet Volt. I used to have a different one years ago, which cost over $1000. I left it in the old house and used the factory slow charge. This gets me back a quick turnaround. This J1772 EV Charger looks good and is better made than the factory charger. The design is nice and compact. It is easy to mount it on the wall as a DIY project. I did it in about an hour. The warranty is over a year. Finding and installing the app from the Play Store was a breeze. The interface on the charger screen is simple and easy to use. The swipe card as an option is an excellent security idea if installed outdoors like I do. You can use either the app or the swipe card to charge. The charger delivers 11KW with 50Amp at 220 Volts. It uses a standard 50 Amp RV socket and we have three in our lot. Just make sure you have the 50A socket close so the cable will reach. Priced below $300, this EV charger offers good value. I purchased this EV charger since I wanted a dedicated charger that would work with our Tesla Model Y (using a Tesla adapter) and other EVs that have a J1772 charging port. The Paris Rhône EV charger was easy to install, is very compact, and included a heavy-duty 25-foot cable. It worked perfectly with the Tuya app (swipe right to charge). The App reports the charging time and the charge added to the vehicle. The charging rate was much quicker than with the Tesla Mobile Connector plugged into the same wall outlet. ... show more

Purchased December 19th, installed it couple weeks later. For over a month it’s performed as it should. Easy to install and really like the adjustable amp control, I was very pleased with it overall….until today. It dropped to 32 amps and wouldn’t raise higher off the app, and as far as I know, no manual controls. It has a key card that you can swipe to turn it on, but when I swipe the key card , it says charge mode, but dosent put out voltage. If you keep swiping, it say charge is full (and it’s not) but still won’t put out voltage. I have 2 teslas and same symptoms plugged into either car. I liked the charger but evidently it can’t take the workload of being used everyday. I had the unit installed by an electrician and only has about a 2 foot length cables from my breaker box. Used 6 awg wire as recommended and cut no corners on materials. I’m going to attempt a return. I just don’t think it’s built well enough to hold up to daily use. Currently charger lights up but puts out no voltage, I have a 32 amp Vevor brand portable and a Tesla brand 32 amp portable to tide me over. I would not recommend this product. ... show more

Got a Tesla and found out how expensive parts can be. Ordered this charger adapter to have as a backup for when our current one quits working. We have a Model X and this fits our charging port. We setup a charger in our garage to make charging easy and having a backup is very satisfying.

Got it intalled with no issues, works perfectly for charging my Bolt EUV. I'm running it at 40 amps on a 50 amp circuit, and it charges crazy faster than level 1 (120v) charging that I was using prior having this charger. Think 7 hours for a full charge instead of 1 1/2 to 2 days. It has really nice features, access to a very usefull app, and is very adjustable to suit your home's electrical capability. Now the bad news. The description on the Amazon product page says it's UL tested and certified. UL certified devices have a marking somewhere on the product. This does not. In addition, the product description say it's NEMA 4+/IP65 weather resistant. However on the sticker on the product it says it is IP54. I trust the sticker. There is a world of difference in those ratings, and you don't find that out until you see the actual product. Basically IP54 tells you it is somewhat dust and water resistant, but only to a mediocre degree. I'll be seeing storms and snow and ice; it'll be interesting to see how this holds up, and if it doesn't, how well the manufacturer will stand behind their product. If you have this mounted in your garage, it should be no problem. Outside (like mine) we'll just have to see. Fortunately I got mine at a great price, but the price fluctuates wildly on Amazon. For <$200, not a bad deal, and maybe worth taking a chance. More than $450...not so much. Update 8/17/24 I emailed customer support, and they were pretty responsive. They emailed me the CCTI testing report (46 pages!), which tests to UL standards, but is not a report from Underwriters Laboratories, hence no UL marking on the device. Customer support also stated that the IP65 rating in the product desciption is accurate, but did not provide any documentation showing this to be the case. My device has survived a couple storms with no issues, so it has some level of protection. The device is manufactured by Zhongshan Auxus Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. They make many variations of this device, making it difficult to know what the actual IP rating is for a particular example of this device. ... show more
