The Good: -Seems to survive the dishwasher -Comes with many filters -Effectively extracts coffee when used correctly The OK: -Coffee filters are similar to chemistry filters (might not be as easy to get) The Bad: -Doesn’t include instructions -Parts don’t seem to fit together correctly This is one of those things you really want to love since it evokes memories of Chemistry classes. The device seems to be of lab grade glass and survives the dishwasher and boiling water just fine. The top piece is thinner than the collection flask and might be more prone to breaking over time due to shock. It doesn’t come with instructions but you can make assumptions on how it works and it does an ok job. I found folding the round filters in a cone shape like we used to do in chemistry works fine to keep fine sediment out of the flask. Load cold water in the top, coffee in the cone filter after the paper filter and let the dripper go at whatever speed you want. I’d assume slower would be stronger and it makes an ok cup of coffee but nothing you could do with French press. The dripper doesn’t seem to fit correctly and lining up the top with the bottom section also doesn’t seem to be possible with the wood piece present. Just can’t really recommend this thing and would suggest looking at other options.

I was excited to try this iced coffee maker, but I was disappointed by the quality. The glass feels so very thin and fragile so I’m afraid either one of the cats or I will break it. The lid does not fit very well and the instructions are not clear, considering there are none, so the results are not consistent. I'm no iced coffee pro so it may be inexperience, but I'm not exactly a novice, either.

There's no doubt that this is one of the most interesting, beautiful pieces of coffee equipment that I own. That said, it is more than a little finicky.. The company was not pleased with my initial review and got in touch with me right away. (Score 1 for the company.) They promptly uploaded more detailed descriptions of both the assembly and instructions for use. (Score 2) As I looked over the new pictures, I realized that I was missing a necessary piece of equipment - the piece that sits between the drip spout and the filter. The company sent out a whole new setup for me. (Score 3) So today, I was finally able to use this to make my first cup of coffee. I In the instructions, it says to use 100 ML of water/ice and 10 G of ground coffee. The globe at the top holds just under 16 ounces (I measured), roughly 470 ML. Somehow, I couldn't see using this to make a half-cup of coffee, so I quadrupled all of their instructions. Then it was time to figure out the right timing for the drips - which is harder than you would think it could be. At first, I thought it was dripping slowly, but when I checked back 1/2 hour later, there was no coffee at all in the carafe. So I opened it up a little and then it seemed to race out. So I'm not sure I got the slow-drip love I was looking for. All of that said, it was a good cup of cold coffee. Really good. At best, this will be a weekend brewer. Unless I set it up the night before, it's not an efficient method of getting me and my morning cup together. It's interesting, I'm glad I have it and I'll love showing it off. When I have sufficient time. Original review - Beautiful, but how do you use it? This came with no instructions on how to put it together - and yes, it comes in pieces and needs to be assembled. And no instructions on how to make coffee with it. I tried goggling and found interesting instructions for general information, but nothing specific to this coffee maker. I went to the PARACITY website within Amazon and this item isn't even listed on their page. I'd love to give this a glowing review, I was really looking forward to using this functional piece of artwork. I'll experiment, but I'm disappointed.
