The screen is clear, the buttons aren’t confusing, and I wasn’t stuck watching tutorials just to start using it. I also like that it’s not super loud - I can hear it fine without it being annoying. I’ve always wanted to try searching near the water, but I didn’t want something that felt fragile. With this one, the coil handles wet sand and shallow water areas just fine, which opens up a lot of space to check. I’m careful to keep the main unit out of splashes, but it still feels like it’s made for outdoor use instead of being stuck as a “dry land only” toy. I like the way the screen gives me quick info while I’m moving. I don’t have to stop and stare at it for a long time; it’s more like a glance, then keep going. The backlight is also handy when the sun dips and the beach lighting gets uneven. On top of that, the handle feels secure even when my hands are a little sandy.

I’ve been taking this detector on long walks by the water, and it makes the whole walk more interesting. The search coil handles wet sand and shallow water without me stressing about it, and that alone opens up way more spots to check. I keep the control part safely out of the splash zone and just focus on sweeping the ground. The display is easy to read, and the backlight is helpful when the sky starts getting dim. I also like that it can help sort out what kind of target I’m over, because I’m not trying to dig up every random bit of trash. I bought this mainly because I spend time near the water and wanted a detector that could handle more than dry ground. The search coil being made for wet areas gives me more confidence when I am working close to the shoreline or around damp sand. I am not out there treating it like a fragile gadget, which is exactly what I wanted. The screen is clear and readable, and it helps me keep track of what I am doing without stopping constantly. I can bump the sensitivity up or down depending on the area, and it is nice to have choices for how the detector responds. I also like being able to save a setting and come back to it instead of rebuilding my setup every time.
