  • LOVE THIS TENT
Style: XL with Extendable Floor
I love this XL beach tent so much. Pros: easy to set up (even if you're under 5 feet tall and 100 lbs), easy to keep in your trunk because it folds up wonderfully. The color is great, tons of people have come up and asked where I got it. Longevity seems to be holding up well... have used it dozens of times for about 3 years. Keeps the sun off with no sun burn. I did buy the extra extender and think that's also a must, especially if you have several people with you who like to lay out. Cons: The bag holder for the tent ripped after a few years. I purchased a bigger $20 bag off amazon that works great instead because it's bigger and easier to shove the tent in when I'm done at the beach. The zipper that attaches the longer extending piece that you lay out on broke after a few uses. I bought velcro strips that I use to attach it to the base of the tent and it works well. It can be a little difficult to set up on a windier day, but that's to be expected. I think the one thing that can also get a little tricky sometimes is at the very top of the tent you have to align the base of the plastic rods, and "pop" it into place (it makes sense if you own one, or another tent like this) and sometimes sand gets in there. Easy to get in, much more difficult to "pop" out to put the tent away. I just tilt the tent towards me and use my foot to pop it out. I give this 5/5 stars anyhow because of the longevity and I even purchased this as a gift for a friend of mine. For $110 it's fantastic :) The little windows in the tent are also awesome for a breeze or privacy. Buy it! ... show more

  • In one month our family of 5 has used this about 10 times.
Style: XL with Extendable Floor
Excellent product for a family of 5, myself husband and my three children ager 9,4, and 1. Pros: lightweight has a travel set up so it just looks like you are carrying a lawn chair. the option for filling the sandbag pouches as an anchor Instead of spikes. VERY Spacious!! the setup is super easy my husband did it in less than 5mins. the window traps can be adjusted open or closed. Multiple window flaps. the upper portion has a built in mesh pocket area. we frequently store things in it Wallets/ cellphones and keys, pacifiers, hand sanitizer, ect... EASY EASY to take down. I really like it with our l yr. old I can sit him down and feed him in the tarped area and it stays pretty cool. We have used it peobably 20 times having recently moved to the Caribbean and so far it still looks and acts brand new. Lastly, I have only used it at the beach but I can see how it can be very versitile depending on what you are using it for. Cons: It can be a bit difficult to Brush all the sand out of the tarped section. (But my kids also thought it was funny to build a Sandcastle in it so you most likely wont have that ridiculous amount of sand in it.) My husbands only complaint is that he does not like the tarped bottom at all. That's more personal preference. I Will say I did purchase the extra extended floor tarp that zips on and we used it once the kids kept tripping, pulling and playing with it, that was a mistake/ headache. If you plan to use it with older children and adults I think the extra length could be awesome because if you start getting too hot you can move into the shadded part you can have a larger group near - in it. • Portable, practical, but not opaque enough
Style: XL with Extendable Floor
Overall a good product. It’s incredibly easy to set up. It’s pretty simple to take down, as well. For the money I don’t think there’s much out there that beats it. However, I was hoping for more reliable protection from the Sun. The material is a bit translucent and the heat from the suns rays can still be felt through this thing. Depending on the time of day I find that tossing a towel on top can really help, but it’s still a design aspect that leaves room for improvement. I’d still buy again, but I’ll ditch it as soon as I find a product on the market that is just as practical but with superior sun deflection. ... show more

  • After 3 summers of use....
Style: XL with Extendable Floor
Here's my verdict: I really like it a lot. At first, with one other person I wasn't really sure how to use it. I didn't YouTube it, I just tried to figure out how to open it with one other person and it worked out fine. I had to assemble the legs first, which was kind of tricky. Then I had to pull really hard on the drawstrings and pull upwards and like magic the whole thing stood up. I think there are a couple of legs I don't put together until the whole tent has been pulled up. You'll have to read the directions closely. Now how did I get the tent down? This was tricky the first few times. After loosening up all the legs, I had to push really hard on the top to push it inward. I admit this is challenging. Do I push so hard that I break it? Well, I pushed hard, but I guess not so hard that I would break it. This past summer, I noticed sand got into the legs, so this will make it challenging to put the tent up. Fortunately, we got all the sand which gets caught in the legs. After 3 summers, I have zero complaints, but if there's a YouTube video, try watching it. It may help you get started and you may have an easier time than me when packing up. Also, it didn't see that heavy for me to lug it around, but my wife felt like her arms were going to fall off! So maybe don't buy this product unless you can somehow put it on a wagon or something. I have no problem walking 15 minutes with this thing. ... show more
