We live at the beach. We have had this Shibumi since purchase date and have used it almost daily since. It’s so easy to set up my 70+year old MIL can set it up and take it down by herself. When we first purchased we were impressed by the light weight of the product. I realize it’s only tent poles and nylon so it does seem expensive for the product, however we have found with all the repeated use that it is very durable, functional and is so much better than an umbrella (which we had to continually purchase and they failed after just a few months) the Shibumi shade truly is a great value for the cost. No one has experienced any sunburns while relaxing under the Shibumi even when sunscreen was forgotten!! So the SPF is on point. I recommend. ... show more

Quite possibly one of the most brilliant inventions ever and is well worth the money! We've had this for about 6 years and it is still in perfect condition! Perfect for the beach. We watch people drag the canopies and take forever to put them up. It's so lightweight a 5 year old could carry it and one person can have it in place in 5 minutes or less. I doubt this would be good at a lake or where there's not consistent wind. ... show more

Really a great product and enhanced our beach experience immeasurably. Easy to put up and put away. Amazing! NOTE: The product description said that it comes with a “wind assist” device when there isn’t enough wind to make it fly. Ours did not come with this device. Others?

Great design. So small and light but provides great coverage and allows all the beautiful ocean breeze to keep us cool. So compact and easy to set up. We keep this on our boat and it takes up no room, even fits in my beach bag. Purchased the XL size and 6 adults fit well covered.

This is the second beach cover we've purchased. I loved it. My daughter and I was able to set this up and take it down without any trouble! The only problem was it relies on the wind. We had one beach morning where there was no wind so it didn't function properly (no wind?? On the beach??) The Shibumi Shade is worth every penny. It is light to carry, easy to set up, and covers a good amount of surface area on the sand. It definitely takes the cake on any beach day, even with the lightest wind. Bright color quality, too!
