Description

The crows know to stay away and so should you. The creepy scarecrow costume includes a distressed suede tunic top with printed patchwork at the skirt hem. The hat has jagged edges along the brim and is decorated with a rope tie. Also included are a soft faux burlap collar, a rope belt and a prop scythe. This costume is decorated with hazy like fringe for an extra creepy look.

This costume is very comfortable, cute and very well made! The only thing I don’t completely agree with is the sizing. You can definitely use this year after year because the quality is great! I am losing weight and I didn’t know what size to get because I would like to be able to wear this next year too. I am currently 145lbs and 5’4 and I am trying to lose another 35lbs, so I went off the inches from Amazon. It was saying I was in between medium and small, but closer to a medium, so I bought both to try them on because if it ended up being a little bit snug that would be okay because I am still losing weight. The small came in first and the sizes on the bag is different than on Amazon. It goes off your pant/dress size. Here is the sizes on the bag. X small 4-6 Small 6-8 Medium 8-10 Large 10-12 X large 12-14 I am currently in a size 4 and when I tried on the small it was a just a little bit big in the chest and waist. When I bent over you could see my bra. I wear a 34B. I am buying a extra small I will update when it comes in. Update: The extra small I ordered was way to small in the arms and chest, so I ended up buying another small to see if maybe the sizes vary, or maybe the first small got stretched out. The second small I got actually is a little snug in the arms which is fine, but fits perfect in the chest and waist. By the way I think someone tried on the first small I got because when my other small came in the packaging was nicely folded unlike the first 1. If you wear a size 4 and are a 34B a small is perfect. If you have any bigger of a chest go up to a medium. ... show more

Loved, loved, loved this costume. Got soooo many compliments. People didn’t recognize me in it, too, which was a pleasant surprise. I bought a L at first and exchanged it for a M, which fit well without being tight. I might have gone for a S, but didn’t want it being snug on my hips (especially with added tights.) The quality is good, it was very comfortable, and the dress material was not scratchy or hot. The costume and accessories —hat, belt, collar— are all terrific. More importantly, it all made a really easy but impactful costume. (I added a wig, some fake straw to my wrists and ankles, and wore a pair of soft boots and brown opaque tights.) If I go to a different group’s Halloween party this year, I’ll wear it again —I love it that much— otherwise I’ll be searching for another costume for my same crew’s party. ... show more

I am very pleased with the quality of this costume!! It is very well constructed with felt and polyester. I like that you can make it look cute or scary and it came with a little booklet of how to do the makeup! I am busy so I ordered a large (usually I take a medium) and it fit great! It is very short so definitely recommend wearing leggings or jeans underneath it. It is very comfortable but a little hot but hopefully the weather changes by Halloween! It's very easy to put on and do the tying of the ropes yourself. The ONLY thing I could critique is the top of the tunic kinda flops in places so I may have to get some fabric adhesive so it stays put...I don't want to have to worry about a wardrobe mishap all night 🤣! ... show more

I would have given this costume 5 stars but I did not get the tutorial booklet on the make up. I bought this costume for my 11 yr old daughter who is 5’5 and 135lbs. I got a size small and it fits nicely. The quality feels more like “real clothing” rather than a flimsy costume. I bought a pair of brown leggings to go with it. It’s too short to wear as a dress in my opinion but the leggings make it more suitable for her age and she loved it. I added straw in her boots. ... show more

I made a couple of changes. I don't like the neck but found some soft ratty burlap and fashioned a neck out of it. Much more attractive. I got some fake straw and put it coming out of my boots including under the straps in front on one side. I had to extend the sleeves because I have monkey arms and so I made a fake one and lined it with fake straw so I had two sleeves on each side and it worked great. I have naturally messy hair so I was primed for this costume from birth. I did have to wear a girdle to control my lumps because the torso is not forgiving. But the end result was great and not only did I win costume at one of the little parties I went to, but a very sophisticated woman came up and asked if she could have my costume for next year! That has only happened once before and I had spent a week on that costume. Unfortunately for her, I liked it so much I am going to keep it for next year. I didn't do the scary makeup because I was a little under the weather but I am 70 so I didn't have to! I just didn't wear anything on my face and that was enough. (said in humor).
