Beautiful watch for a great price!

I have had my Invicta for several months now and I can say it has been working flawlessly! It looks great, large and chunky which is what I like. The band is soft and well made, and easy to get on and off. The buttons on the left are a great idea, it means you can flex your left wrist a lot better than if the buttons jut into your wrist. It would also be ideal for a left handed wearer, and even though I am left handed I still wear it on the traditional side. The glass is quite robust, no scratches yet, and the case feels very well made. For the price $99, it is a bargain, since it matches Swatch quality quite easily but feels more solid, and I get a lot of looks with it. I love the red second hand, and the Breitling style face. Negatives, I did briefly have some condensation showing inside it when I was at high altitude, however otherwise I can't complain. I also would prefer a matt (not glossy) logo on the watch face. This watch is beautiful

The first amazon watch I bought was a Stuhrling skeleton style watch. While It looks very nice, the pin pulls out, it didn't keep time that well and I wouldn't even think of putting it in the water. My Invicta is also beautiful, but the standard of quality seems much higher. The timer works perfectly, the crown turns very smoothly and it just looks, feels, and functions like a quality timepiece. The band is very nice, on the inside. Quality leather, nice stitching, and an engraved clasp are all fine touches. The canvas covering is very curious, however. I knew what to expect by reading the reviews, and from a short distance (say 3 feet) it actually looks quite nice. The minute and hour hand are, as one reviewer said, actually a little hard to pick up because they are almost the same color. The hands do glow in the dark. The huge white face is what I was after, and I was not disappointed. It is beautiful. The stainless steel is amazing. It looks awesome. One thing I would look at before purchasing, though is the measurement of the THICKNESS of the watch. I expected the watch face to be big, and it is, but it is also extremely thick. Before buying, I would recommend getting out a ruler or tape measure and actually visualize the actual bulk of this thing. I can't really say anything bad about this watch so far. Biggest watch I've worn!

I saw this watch last weekend on a friend, and couldn't believe when Amazon had such a great price. It is large, but it fits just right with the leather band. It really is noticed, and all that see it want it. I've ordered 2 more Invicta watches today, both are Reserve models. If those have the same quality as this one, I'll be very happy. One item to note, the dials are white & hard to see if you use reading glasses. It is easy to see at night, but daytime is difficult. It is a great evening dress watch, simple, but commanding, it makes a statement w/o really trying. You don't need to point it out, everyone will notice & comment. ... show more

Nice Watch For The Price. (Fake Tachymeter, No Movement Info.)

Let me start my stating the good aspects about this watch: - If you own any of the reserve watches, this will feel much lighter and thinner, which is good for a change - Even with its big face, the watch can still be used for casual dinners, etc, It's got a nice style, very unique. - The strap, the fact that its under side is made of 100% genuine leather. - Keeps time accurately. After a week of owning it, it hasn't skipped. - Very comfortable to wear. - Most of its chronograph works well (not all of it) - Beautiful display window - Plenty of luminousity. The arms and numbers stay lit for a while after dark and are easy to read. Now, a couple of bad things about it: - One of the chronograph's arms, the 1/10 to be exact, is not at true "zero", it's a bit off to the left. - The Tachymeter is fake. Tachymeters are mainly found, if not only found, on analog watches, and they way they work is, there's a button which changes the "seconds" arm into Tachymeter mode, which means that the arm will stop moving (counting seconds for time keeping) and move to the 12 (zero) position, when the Tachymeter is then started, the seconds arm will start to rotate with a "SWEEPING" motion. This watch DOES NOT have that sweeping motion nor does it have a mode button. There are some things you should know about this piece, which I consider, neither bad or good, but more of a neutral aspect, but of course, that's different from person to person. Here they are: - NO INDICATION of where the watch's movement is from. I couldn't find any information about it. Amazon describes the movement as Japanase quartz, but I couldn't find anything on the watch. - As always, Invicta throws in a "standard" general instructions booklet that applies to their entire line. Specific instructions would be great for those whom may need to factory reset the chronograph(zero reset)and have never done it before. - The strap, notice I didn't write it down as a "bad" thing, because in reality, it is a nice strap; it will get old and dusty with time, however, I noticed that a damp cloth will wipe off any dirt and/or dust. In conclusion, from an Invicta owner's perspective, honestly speaking, this watch doesn't really match the quality of higer priced Invictas, but for $100 is actually decent. It isn't a bad watch, but it isn't perfect, I don't like "fake" functions that are shamelessly painted on the piece and mean/do nothing. I hate to think it, but I'm sure I'm right, that this wastch was probably made in China, but at its current price, I guess I shouldn't expect any more. This may not be the best from Invicta, but it is a well made and interesting looking piece. ... show more

a really great buy

This is an impressive looking watch. It is a bit thick, but again it has several functions to house. It keeps excellent time and the stop watch functions all work flawlessly. I would like some instructions on using the tachymeter calibration set along the inner rim of the face though. One thing I particularly like is the ease of setting the time and the date function. On most watches it is difficult to use the partial stem function and they stop the time when you set the date, this one easily finds the half stem position and the time just keeps on rolling while you set the date. A full pull of the stem stops the hands and you can then set the time. To be able to buy a watch with such a high suggested retail price for Amazon's low price is truly great. ... show more

Great Watch (this time around)!

This a great dress watch, and definitely feels like a quality time-piece. The dial is nice and large, and the white dial is tastefully and elegantly done. Usually white dials are difficult to pull-off and end up looking tacky and cheap. But this watch does it with a lot of class. Of course, it's not a Rolex or a Breitling, but it looks, feels and performs (so far) like a very high-quality dress watch! That being said, the last watch I bought from Invicta (Amazon) came defective. Invicta never replied to my emails, but Amazon offered to issue a replacement, which I will rate and review once I get it. I don't know if that purchase was an isolated incident, or if Invicta's quality control is always hit-n-miss, but their customer service always leaves a lot to be desired. Even when they do provide service you will have to pay for the shipping both ways. Amazon, on the other hand, was rather prompt with their response. My favorite watch!

This watch isn’t for everyone. What I mean by this is if you have a small wrist this thing will look ridiculous on you. To give you some background, I’m 6’3’’ broad shouldered pretty big guy. The watch looks good on my wrist. My roommate who’s about 5’8’’ the watch looked ridiculous on him, it was way to big for his wrist. This is my first white-faced watch and I have fallen in love with it I wear it almost every day. The band is cloth and others have complained about it, but I like it. I have gotten more complements wearing this watch then when I wear a Rolex that was passed down to me by my father. Its nice enough to wear everyday at work and out at night. I would highly suggest this watch to anyone that wants something that’s going to turn heads and not empty your pocket at the same time. ... show more
