This is a really nice Gazebo. It is very sturdy & well built. Directions are self explanatory but could be confusing if you're not mechanically inclined. I assembled by myself but a second person wouldn't hurt especially when moving it into final position. It's screwed into the patio with Tapcon's so it shouldn't go anywhere but make sure you remove the canopy for a hurricane or tropical storm. During assembly, you may think it's missing a hole on the ends for the middle crossbar. It isn't, you use one of the existing bolts for the crossbar joint. Look closely at the picture on the instructions, you'll see it. The canvas isn't very thick and it has tiny holes which will allow water to drip or mist through and I doubt it will last very long but I put scotchguard (canvas waterproofing) on it so we'll see. ... show more

    • What a great value on a well designed gazebo.

We could hardly be more happy with this Gazebo. But setup did have one little snag. It is engineered really well with an extruded aluminum frame with steel rafters. The extruded frame provides two separate tracks for the netting and the solid fabric curtains to be deployed separately. The slides operate fairly smoothly. They also thoughtfully provided a few spare slides. We went with the light grey cover only because it was discounted more than the other colors, but I am finding that is easy on the eyes and brightens and cheers up the space a little. And it is easy match furniture and cushion colors to go with it. Light grey is a really good choice. I was suspicious that the Velcro straps that furl the curtains might not retain them very well, and in some sustained high winds, the curtains do pull out from beneath the Velcro band. But a bungee ball looped around the top of the post, where the upper part of the curtains catch the wind, completely fixed that issue. One negative is that the top most center roof cover would not stretch onto the roof frame until a few of the stitches tore loose. I double checked my assembly of the roof frame but everything was in order, so the sewing of the cover was too tight to accommodate initial assembly. That was the only quality issue that I had, but it is working fine and there is no sign of any stitches falling apart. Other than that, setup was not bad. The instructions are mediocre but usable, except for when it was time to decide how many of the slides need to be inserted on each side of the frame. There is no defined marking on the curtains to determine where the corner is. You will have to start on one side, zipper two sections of curtains together, position the zipper in the center of that side and start adding slides from each side, working your way to the corners. I suggest storing your spare slides behind the slide stops, in the very corner of the frame. There is no way to lose them if they are right where you need them. And they conceal really well. I did find a YouTube video of some guys setting up this exact model of gazebo (I searched by the brand and model name) that was really helpful. You need at least two people to set this up safely, especially when dealing with the legs while assembling the frame. Having an extra person to click the rafter/ roof frame in place while you stand on a ladder to align it would be helpful, but I was able to manage it by myself. You should definitely have help setting the legs up to assemble the frame, though. I would buy another one of these gazebos, if we had the space for it and if I could afford another set of furniture to put in it. ... show more

    • Worth what I paid
Bought this on sale and it has been worth every penny! My wife did need to hold 1 corner during assembly, otherwise I did it alone. It has handled a few 50mph Northern CA storms already. I do have it strapped down and canopy weights on each foot or it would fly across the yard as with any canopy.

This canopy did not last. It ripped through the middle of the second season of use. It was taken off during the off season months and stored in a water proof bag to make sure to maintain it for the following seasons of use. When the company was contacted, I ordered the suggested replacement canopy. This new canopy was considered to be their universal replacement however that was not the case as the Velcro impedes the ability to use the netting all the way around. When I contacted the company again they said that’s all they have, even though the original canopy had hooks not Velcro and was significantly better made. They refused to make this situation right and I would avoid any business with them. Their warranty isn’t worth the value because it will be void by the second season of use if you are not in an area where it is warm year round. ... show more

This was really the perfect choice for me. It's got fly mesh and curtains Both! Large enough for 10 to 14 people and good quality and design. I don't know why some reviews are mean but this was really perfect for me
