Update, delivery by FedEx sucked but the company gave me a small refund. But the product is wonderful, I am very happy with the pergola. It was easy to put up, the trick is to follow the instructions and look at the diagram. Pay attention to how things are layed out in the diagram and that will help you. Open the box and group all the lettered parts together, also the washers come stuck together but the get some scissors and use the blade and they come apart. Good and have fun. ... show more

    • Hard no. Looked decent, cheapest built outdoor structure I've ever bought

At first when I was starting putting it together, thought it looked fairly decent. But as it was coming together, it was made out of the thinnest metal I have ever seen on an outdoor structure. The hardware used is completely inadequate. The laughable connection for the corner, they used thin "L" shaped bolts to save on hardware costs with tiny nuts. You will need at least two people to put it together because of the ingenious design, even shows it on their instruction video, three people. The top ripped off on the first mildly windy day, even left behind the little velcro strips on the frame. I'm 6'3" and can't take the tarp/cover off. There is no way to get the top cover off easily or even semi conveniently, so if you live in an area that gets any wind (i.e.: anywhere in the world), good luck taking it off to protect it or your house. After being frustrated with it, left the cover off, which is the whole point. Took it down about two weeks later, noticed the bolts were rusting and now have to figure out how I'm going to get this thing to the dump, you'll need a truck or dumpster close by. Not worth your time and frustration. If you think you're going to buy it, just donate the money to a cause and save yourself the headache of disposing of it. ... show more

I purchased two of the awning for our back porch. Took 2 days to assemble them. Our intentions were to attach these to our house and we did so they have no trouble staying put. Unless tou plan to screw this down to decking look for something else. It's not meant to sit on lawn or cement staked down. The awning material is not totally waterproof. We got a large tarp and covered the top of the awnings, and for us it's perfect. Covered the porch cheaper than building a permanent lean to roof. This looks so pretty, and I love how the sides can be let up of down so we have privacy if we want it. My opinion is price should be a little cheaper but worth the buy. ... show more

I spent a lot of time researching and choosing a pergola in this price range. This is definitely the best quality for the price I found, but I'm curious to see how long it lasts given the weather (see Con #1 below). PROS: --Diagrams and parts list made it easy to figure out how to put together, just take your time and try not to miss a step (also see Tip #2 below for one step that was missing) --All-steel frame, including the top crossbars --90-degree anchor bars --Four corner posts are one solid piece each, which brings me to the cons... CONS: --All the crossbars and top frame bars are two pieces of steel held together with a weaker metal. This is clearly the primary weakness of this pergola. To be fair, this is the same design as other pergolas in this price range, and I'd say this pergola is even sturdier in comparison (given the Pros above that other pergolas don't have). That said, if someone stands up under the pergola and presses up on the crossbars, the top bows rather than holding strong and lifting the pergola. --Random dents and scratches and pieces that don't fit nicely together (see pictures). My biggest concern here is not the look of dents/scratches but how long it will hold up to weather. TIP: --This pergola would definitely be easier to assemble with 3 or 4 people. That said, my husband (6ft) and I (5ft) did it relatively easily (3-4 hours) after this slight change in assembly: Assemble the 4 corner posts and set them in place on the ground. Assemble the top frame and the two center crossbars, including prepping the screws in place to secure the 4 corner posts. Tallest and strongest person lifts the top frame overhead and holds while the second person goes around to each corner and screws the frame to the 4 corner posts. This of course requires one person to be relatively strong/feel confident lifting the entire top frame overhead and holding for 1-2 mins, and be at least 6 ft tall to get it high enough --Also, the instructions miss ONE step. When attaching G to F. Attach bottom G first, insert F, then make sure to prep and secure the canopy and rings before securing the top G piece. All in all, this is the best quality for the price, but I'm curious to see how it holds up over time! I'll update if I run into any issues, but currently glad to have some shade on this wind-less day :) ... show more

So we had a professional install this for us as we weren’t that ambitious lol and that went well. It looks good, However rain pools on top and stays there until you go out with a broom handle and push it out. (unless you want to take it down every time there might be a storm which would be every day in FL summers). The material is essentially waterproof. I wouldn’t have thought it would be because it’s not one solid piece of material so you wouldn’t be able to sit under it if it was raining because rain would be going down in between the two pieces of material! I didn’t read anything about these types of problems in the reviews I read. what is showing in my pics is what we ended up having to do. Water still pools. Every time you wanna sit under it after rain, remove the ties that we use to make it less surface area that water can pool. I would not purchase this again. Took a couple hours to assemble by myself. 4 image instruction hit all the points but could be broken out more. Ultimately I needed the frame to provide structure for my sun shade over my plants.
