These emit the right amount of light. They are light-weight, plastic bulbs that do not break, and weather resistent. I strung these along my pergola a year ago and separately purchased a dimmer on Amazon, which works on a remote control with these lights, to reduce the light for mood. I purchased the 200' of string lights, which comes with little round light bulbs instead of the oblong shaped bulbs, and they look great. When it rains, my GFI (in the garage) gets tripped, so the next day, I just reset (punch) the GFI for the lights to come back on. My only complaint is that several bulbs have burned out in the past year, and there is no information on the brand/type of bulb so I know where to go to buy replacement bulbs. ... show more

Replaced LED shop lights with these on a 12x34 porch. Took about 1 hour to hang hooks and string lights. I bought two boxes— each box had two strings of light. Only needed three in total for my porch. All of the bulbs had to be tightened right out of the box, but otherwise they were perfect and as expected. Bought this for my backyard patio area. I bought two strings to run them to my maple tree and zig zagged to the house. They are bright and hold up to the Wisconsin elements so far. I just used them last night, but put them up a week in advance. It rained on them too. A couple of the bulbs didn't light up, but I found that they just needed a gentle tightening. Great buy!

These lights are just what I was looking for. They have held up in cold weather and high winds and are still working. No remote was include, but it would have been nice if it included a remote to dim. They are very bright.
