  • This fire pit matches our outdoor furniture perfectly.
Size: 30 x 30 inches
The media could not be loaded. When we first purchased one, we had to send it back because the directions was not right. When trying to find otherwise, didn't find anything that was visually acceptable. I had to give this another shot. When this one came, the directions was a lot better. Not hard to put together and we love it. ... show more

  • Awesome fire pit
Size: 30 x 30 inches
Excellent gas burner fire pit. Very high quality craftsmanship. The glass frame around top of burner help prevent wind from blowing fire. We camp for three months in the summer and this has been the perfect portable fire pit. Good for home patio as well. Uses a propane tank neatly hidden underneath. Very stable and sturdy. Easy to assemble a few pieces. Very pleased with purchase ... show more

  • Gas fire pit...impressions...pretty good so far
Size: 30 x 30 inches
Its hard to rate 1 to 5 stars when firepits can range in price from $99 to over $2K. I will try to provide some detail I wish I had before making this purchase. Some points may be directly related to this unit and some simply give insight to gas fire pits in general. I was looking to replace the traditional messy, smelly metal bow pit that burn wood. These are typically less than $100 and last a few years before rusting out. They need to be repainted each year etc. I simply grew tire of dealing with the wood, ash, smell, embers etc etc. . I bought a portable gas fire pit at Costco on clearance last year, we used it a few times and a gas fire pit had an appeal to me. The Costco portable one required a tank to sit alongside a small bowl, similar but smaller than my wood pit. It worked well. However it almost looked like a toy and you have to sit the propane tank along side it…not very appealing..plus the gas line is a tripping hazzard. So we decided to get a gas table fire pit. I was still not completely sure this was the route I wanted to go. I knew I did not want to invest $1k or more. I arbitrarily decided I’d spend $300 or less. . I narrowed my search down to 3 small tables size modes. All had a wicker look and were rated at 50K BTU. There was a $100 Better Homes and Gardens unit. The SerenityLife unit ($157 when I purchased it) and a BestChoice brand whose company had a $200 and $279 on sale model, the latter being partially stainless steel. I almost bought the Best Choice $279 on sale unit. It had not only a stainless-steel burner/bowl but top as well. It also had over 2K reviews most very good. The one knock on it was that it was difficult to light. They have a similar mode that’s all steel for a bit less. I opted the SerenityLife unit do to its cheaper price (at the time anyway: $157) . There were few reviews; 20 or so at time of purchase. I figured I’d take a chance. . EASE OF Assembly/Instructions: You need not have a Harvard Education to put this together but I must say the instructions are not good. They are not explicit enough and in one section are simply flat our wrong—almost like they were for another model. Suffice to say, worst case when you get to adding the bottom, you find out you assembled the sides in the wrong direction and must simply take a part and reassemble. I suggest laying the parts out and noting how the bottom attaches, insuring the placement of the holes for attaching the feet line up and making sure the one side is configured to accept the removeable side door. No big deal but better instructions would have saved me 10 minutes. . QUALITY: This is tough. Quality compared to what? The $99 units? A $1K unit? I can only compare those units of comparable price in Lowes or Home Depot. In general, it seems to be about the same as those. Cheaper in price perhaps. Specifically, I can tell you the unit looks great. Will the wicker hold up…I have no idea. Will the frame rust quickly. No idea. I will say the wicker model minimized having a steel shell so there should be less to rust. The burner and lid are stainless. The lid is rather thin and light though. The welds holding the frame together seem of lower quality. Time will tell if they suffice. The top is framed in steel. Ceramic tile inserts appear to glued to the frame. If one breaks, I am not sure what you do. I also question how well that glue holds up over time. The propane tank holder is offset underneath which gives a little room to store the glass wind shield…at your own risk. I you move the pit with the wind shield below and it falls off the frame it could break. The wind shield itself assembles with 8 corner brackets affixed with screws directly tightened to glass. That seems scary but maybe that’s how they all are. I had some 3Md double-sided tape that I put on each bracket in hopes it would better secure the bracket to the glass and then the screw tightens against the tape. Perhaps this was unnecessary. The glass seems sturdy when assembled. The clear glass lava rock are fine and there are plenty. It comes with a weather cover. It is tan. I suspect it would last a season or so. Oh yea. The feet that attach are plastic. If you slide the unit around, they likely will wear or break. The feel cheap. However, they likely will not rust. They look stainless from a distance. . COLOR: The wicker is a tannish- grey overall with a brownish ceramic top. It trimmed in black. The lid is stainless. The feet look stainless but are plastic. I’d say the unit would blend nicely into a grey or brown themed area. The cover is a yellowish tan. I wish it had been more grey. It sort of sticks out. . IGNITING THE FLAME: Here is where I deduct a full star. The unit has an igniter. It is battery operated. You can tell it its working and / or if the battery is in correctly by simply pressing it. If you see / hear a spark, its working. The instructions, sadly do not even mention the igniter in the ‘lighting’ process. The instructions almost seem as thought they are for another model. Suffice to say I have had NO LUCK lighting the thing from cold. Yes, I made sure the lava glass was NOT covering the igniter. I even removed glass from around the burner. Yes, the gas is on. When I push in the knob and turn it I can hear and smell it. I even tried igniting with the wind guard in place. The instructions mention pushing the knob in and turning till you hear a click. Repeat several times till it ignites. What is the purpose of the ignitor then! Seriously some units are designed to spark when the knob turned That is how my Costco portable unit is. This unit does not work that way. You need the ignitor. However the ignitor can’t seem to get a cold unit lit. Now once it has been running, should you turn it off and relight right away, the igniter works. So how have I been getting lit on a cold start? A Stick lighter…BUT BOOOM..it lights like a volcano. DANGEROUS!!!!! I did email Serenity Life. Thus far they have not gotten back to me. Thank God I was not missing any parts. You really need a vendor you can get in touch with. For now I bought a felixble stick lighter that barely allows me to keep my hands away form the top of the fire area. I try putting the gas level on low. It lights right up but still rather violently. If they get back to me with a solution. I will update this. For this reason alone, I sort of wish I had perhaps bought the $279 model with the good reviews…albeit that unit was described as hard to light as well. Anyway, once lit, I hold the knob in for a few seconds to insure the flame does not immediately got out. . COVER: I suspect the cover would last a season. I wish it were more grey, It covers the entire pit when the wind shield is removed. In fact the cover still fits with the windshield in place. I put a bungee around the bottom as the cover has no pull string to pull tight. A couple inches of the pit are exposed. Note the stainless steel lid fits atop the wind shield if you leave the wind shield in place when you put the cover on. If no rain is forecast I guess you could forego the cover but perhaps the entire unit might fade from the sum overtime. I’d definitely put the cover on when rain is expected. . WINDSHEILD: This sits in the spot where the stainless-steel top goes. Note the lid also fits the wind shield. Obviously, you don’t want the lid on when running but I’d keep the stainless teel lid on top the wind shield when not in use if you choose to keep the wind shield on the table at all times. Anyway, the wind shield works well. With the setting on HIGH, which you will eventually want for warmth, the flames fly all over in the breeze. They wind shield is 80% effective but if too windy I suggest lowering the flame or simply not using the pit, especially if you wish to sit close for warmth. . WARMTH: I do not mean this as a knock on this pit. I believe it is likely the nature of most gas pits with the burner underneath. Perhaps the ones that are $!K or more have a higher BTU rating, although then you burn through a tank a lot faster unless these more expensive are perhaps hooked to home’s natural gas line. Anyway, I believe a tank should 10 hours from what I have read. I am not sure if that is with the unit on high at all ties. In chilly weather you will want it on high. The issue is a wood fire pit sits low to the ground. You sit around it and feel the heat from the legs up. This and most likely other table top models; with the tank hidden below; they only warm you from the thighs up. That’s the tradeoff off of having the tank consume space underneath. Of course, when not in use the unit, with the top on and wind shield removed can be used a s as mall table. Having said that I am not sure this feels a s warm as a wood fire pit. Temperatures have not gotten down to the lows 60s yet so I guess I will have to follow up but it just does not seem as warm. I do believe the wind shield robs one of some heat. It seems warmer without it but them you must be careful not to get too close as the flames fly all around if breezy. I URGE caution as you may be inclined to get closer to be warmer. The flamed really can jump out well over a foot! . Would I buy it again? For the price I paid for the unit ($157 at the time of purchase) I have no major regrets so far. That may change as I see it age and start to judge it performance in the cold; though the later is not necessarily a reflection on the product but rathe gas pits in general. I see the price of this unit is back up to $300 or so. I think for that price I try the BestChoice unit as it had 2K+ good reviews and described as better quality. In the end if you are on the fence about gas pits, this is likely (when on sale for around $160) a good starting point. If you decide gas pits are not for you then you have not lost much and have a little table you can use. I do see they have smokeless wood pits now. If this does not work out, I may look into them. Except for the lighting though, so far so good. I’ll try to follow-up in December and let folks know how the unit is holding up. FYI: I plan on storing the unit in my shed for the winter. Bottom line a solid 3 stars at this point. I deducted 1 for the inability to light and them not following up with me. I deducted another half for perceived quality issues….let call it a solid 3 overall. If they have a solution to my lighting issue (which I doubt) then I may bump it up to 4. 4/20/24 UPDATE I stored the unit in my shed and just brought it out. Hardware has rusted. There are some spots of rust on the frame as well. I gave them all a shot of restolium rust reformer. Hopefully that stops the rust from spreading. The unit was rusting while sitting on my concrete patio and left stains in the brief time was out there last year. If I had to do it all over again I would replace all hardware with stainless steel hardware and probably coat the exposed steel of thw frame with rustoleum rust reformer before even assembling. I had contacted the vendor about the fact that it never would light but they never got back to me. Is be careful when using a stick lighter. I'll try to light it For the first time this spring in the coming weeks. If it lights, I'll let my review stay at 3 stars but that's only if you can get it for what I paid... about a hundred and fifty seven dollars. I don't think I'd spend more than that when Better Homes had a similar one for $99.. But i'm not sure you can still get that deal. The cover can blow off so I keep a cord wrapped around it. But then that causes it to lift the off the ground further exposing the feet...the cover should have been longer. ... show more

  • Beautiful Fire pit Table
Size: 43.3 x 27.2 inches
We absolutely love our fire pit table. It was easy to put together. Took my son 20 minutes. The igniter was a little tricky at first but finally got it to work. Just make sure to follow the directions provided exactly and all will be fine. The tile on the top of the table was just a bit chipped in the one corner but not worth sending back for that, which was the reason for 4 stars. All around we are pretty happy with it. One note is that it does not give off a lot of heat, more for the ambiance. ... show more
