I made the right choice in selecting this set of outdoor wall light fixtures for my front porch. My porch posts are encased with wood trim and there's 4.5" of limited of space to fit a porch light. I wanted lights that are as shallow as possible without having a fixture that stick out to clear the wood trim. This light having a circular mounting plate provides many screw hole options to mount the plate securely into my electrical box. The other big benefit is the large thumb screws atop the light fixture hand tighten to secure the light to the mounting plate. Anthing on the sides or further down the light body would have been impossible for me to attach and tighten the mounting nuts as I have not room around the wood trim. The black/hot & white/neutral wires are looped and around by bare/ground wire. This provides a loop where I can hold by my middle & ring finger freeing up my index finger and thumb to align the wires and twist on the wire nuts with my free hand. Without the loop, it would be significantly more difficult to install these lights. The only detail the manufacturer did not setup properly is threading the mounting bolts completely. As a result there was not enough bolt threads exposed through the mounting holes in the light fixture to thread on the nut to affix the light. On the 1st light I had to undo all the wiring just to tighten down the 2 mounting bolts. But the 2nd light took 1/4 the time to install after I threaded the mounting bolts all the way through. The lights look magnificent with a set of long 12W LED 100 watt equivalent Edison bulbs with 3000K color temp. These bulbs still produce a warm glow with 1100 lumen of light output. I'm ordering a matching 2nd set for the sides of my garage door. If the light were 3" shorter, then the bulb would look even proportionate within the light. It was very easy to install with existing wiring to replace older outdoor lights. I like the plain glass and rectangular design overall. Bulbs are not included but screwing in some nice Edison LED bulbs turned out great. Good for the price.
