After shopping the local hardware store for an oscillating heater and being offended by the prices and seemingly ZERO care for the quality, I hopped on Amazon and bought this one. It just arrived and it is shockingly good. I’m retired and like writing reviews so please bear with me here. Hopefully some of this information will be of use. I guess it should be said that I bought this with my own money and I am not some kind of bot. I feel like a bot would say those things but maybe that would violate the bot code of ethics. I am also ruthless about returning disappointing products. And I try to write a review whether I like or don’t like something. I’m old. I sometimes make typos and can’t see well enough to correct them. Now you know who your reviewer is. My intended use is for heating my water well house to keep it from freezing. I have a tiny heater in there already but it got overwhelmed last winter and our water froze. But since this one turned out so nice I put an older one in the well house and will use this one inside. I have a lot of heaters for various purposes (keeping me warm in certain spots, a workshop, enormous doghouse for multiple dogs, water well house, travel trailer, two cabins, etc.). First, it isn’t pink. It is white. Mine is white, anyway, and I’m happy for that. It arrived in a nice box, the packaging was very good, and it was in good shape. There was nothing rattling inside the box before I opened it (not even the heating element). It comes with a remote (battery already installed) and the only assembly was removing all of the protective foam and attaching the base. The base is in two pieces that click together, but the base attached to the rest of the heater with a large screw-type setup. No tools required except my hands. The base is WEIGHTED, with nice metal weights. This is a game changer. The ones at the store (lasko and other brands) were not weighted, and were too heavy; and I only realized that I like a weighted one after assembling this one. It is much harder to tip over that my other tower heaters and I’d estimate that it will go about 25 degrees and still right itself if it is bumped. The power cord is GROUNDED. Don’t buy or use a heater without a grounded power cord, please! Also, when you are using a thousand watts or more be sure that power cord is thick and has a heavy gauge wire inside. This one appears to check all of those boxes. Since I have several heaters let me just some of the nice things I like about this one that do not exist on any single one of my others. 1. Weighted, as I mentioned, and this makes it bottom-heavy instead of top-heavy 2. The metal grill over the element and reflectors is chromed metal. It looks nice and feels durable. It is also vented at the top 3. The control knob is also metal and has a nice click (not a cheap “clack” that will fail you and spin uselessly later) when you use it. The controls and screen are on the lower part of the unit so if it does tip over damage to the controls is unlikely 4. The control knob has a turn and a push function. If this sounds confusing it isn’t in practice. One quick read through the manual regarding the functions and I’ve got it. Push once to turn on and off. Push twice for another function, etc. and it has lights indicating what you are doing. Also, instructions for the knob are on the heater in case you forget. 5. Two really nice touches at the top: a thick leather-like handle for moving it, and a depression at the top to keep the remote (or your keys or whatever) right where you need them. I have 3 oscillating heaters already and every remote for them is lost because there is no place to put them. 6. Not a factor for me, but it is a child safety function that prevents children from changing the settings via the control knob. It isn’t cold here, yet; but I tried the heater and it is very quiet; I can’t hear it al all. This is a radiant-type heater so there is no fan, but you definitely feel the heat from a few feet away. At the top of the front grill there are vents for residual heat to escape and warm the room. It has nine temperature levels (not just two like most of my others). Also, as an old man I know and care about electrical appliances and fire safety and the power cord is very thick, as is the heating element. They both appear durable and safe—a big factor for me because I have several heaters and can’t watch all of them. It also turned itself off when purposely tilted it. It also has a timer and you can adjust the intensity of the heat, and oscillate or not, with either the know or the remote. It puts out a lot of heat and spreads it evenly. I have zero complaints. Even the instruction are well written. I wish this was a little cheaper but I feel like my money was well spent, not just because I could not find another one on a store that has all of these features but also because this was delivered right to my door. It looks durable and thoughtfully designed. I also noticed that if it turns off while ripping, it comes back on if you IMMEDIATELY right it. But if it is tipped for more than a couple of seconds, it turns itself completely off. That a nice feature, so accidental bumps that last a second don’t require you to turn it back on and select a heat setting. Finally, it has a replacement warranty that comes with it. I like sellers who stand behind their product. I hope I won’t have to test that warranty. My pictures make it look like there is more than one element. There is just one but the radiant surfaces are very reflective. Good heater. I’m keeping it.

I got this as a gift for someone (who constantly complains that they're cold) and so far she loves it. The setup took like 5 minutes, and the heater pushes out very hot air immediately. It feels stable enough that it won't tip over, although I personally wish the baseplate was a bit heavier for my peace of mind. The heater is great in its ability to shoot heat out in one specific direction, focusing the generated heat there so less heat goes to waste--so it can be great if you want to aim it at a person or thing to warm up specifically. It also worked well warming up a space very quickly with the oscillation ("head shake mode") enabled. The remote has been especially handy and has worked consistently so far. Furthermore, we have had no issues with functionality or consistency in general. Overall, this worked very well for heating a terrace at night and a garage. It can probably be used indoors too but I personally think anything above the first few levels may be too powerful in a small room.
