This is awesome! In my picture I uploaded I was watching a zoom Karate seminar my kid was in from my car using the zoom app on my ottocast. It works great! I use my iPhone as a hotspot and QUICK TIP, if you want Ottocast to auto-connect to your iPhone hotspot telling Siri to turn on hotspot keeps it on I find. So whenever I enter my car it just connects. There’s also a hotspot shortcut in iOS 15 in control center you can click to just make it discoverable I was using this in an Infiniti QX50 and it worked and I liked it. But it did crash and freeze sometimes but someone totaled that car when it was parked. I now use it in a 2025 Honda CRV and it works even smoother! It works GREAT! Much better than in the Infiniti One more thing I found that gave me trouble in the past. I used to hit multicar app to use apple play and it took a long time to connect on the next screen and when it did connect, I couldn’t use my steering wheel buttons to control CarPlay. By accident, I hit multicar to launch CarPlay but when it popped up to the connection screen, instead of clicking the screen to connect I just hit back instead of trying to connect and it connected to CarPlay a different way which is much faster and works near perfect I know it is hard to explain and that may not have made sense but it seems there are different ways to use the Ottocast to connect to CarPlay on your phone. One way is slow and finicky for me and the other works great Love this device to watch, YouTube, Netflix, CarPlay etc!

******UPDATED 6 Months**** Worked this morning, this afternoon it stopped. It turns on, and my system sees it, but it's just a black screen. I've done hard reset, different cables, you name it, it does nothing. I'll be switching manufacturer's since it looks like this one has a whole 15 (FIFTEEN DAY) day warranty. This does what it says it does most of the time. I like the option to have Youtube, Netflix and all the other options in the car. Original setup was pretty quick, and I just have to remember to turn my hotspot on my phone on every time I start my car. Unfortunately, I frequently get failed connections, I'd say it works about 80% of the time, the other 20% nothing will make it work and I just have to wait for the next drive. It seems to be built well, but the price is pretty high for what it is. Compared to streaming a phone audio through the car stereo, the streaming box has much less lag. My phone audio is usually about a second or two, on this the words almost line up with lip movements. After having it for a few weeks, I turned it on once and all my apps were gone, including play store so I had no way to get any of them back. I did a factory reset and it is back to normal now. We'll see if it happens again.

I am using this with a 2018 Volvo XC90 and it works wonderfully. I had to go in the car settings and enable autostart, once I did it connected just fine. I also recommend connecting to your home WiFi before updating the software. Mine needed two updates, the first took about 15 minutes, the second about 10. Once the device was updated, I then went to the play store and updated the apps I plan on using. YouTube and DirecTV stream work 100%. Fantastic little device, much more useful than plain carplay or android auto, although it supports both wirelessly. You can connect your phone via Bluetooth to the device for handsfree calling without having to use carplay or android auto. I keep it in the glove box (it gets warm) for the cool air from the AC, then ran a long USB cable for connection in the center console.

Works on 2025 Range Rover Sport. Better than expected. Minimal set up. Just need to log into your accounts on the device screen, with a wifi connection to your phone or other hot spot. Recommend 100%

A little unreliable at times, poor implementation of Android Auto voice feature (locks head unit into monural sound after responding to my command) but I love the unit and feature. Gives me a wireless Android auto connection and all the apps I could ever want. I really enjoy using this. It's also really nice that I don't always have to connect my phone to access apps. Particularly enjoy the ability to play videos and streaming apps.

I love this product I ordered 3 different types before I realized which was really the best all connected pretty fast but failed to stay connected when my iPhone was connected with this purchase it surpasses my expectations of quality and I could watch tv driving down the road which was fun.

This thing broke like it just don’t work and I can’t get no were on getting help on this I quit paying for Amazon prime and just flat out upset about paying over $300 and it don’t work like it worked for a second in my new Audi A6 Quattro then it just would not connect I’ve done everything possible redownloaded all the software with there techs in phone I went and paid $100 to have the phone geeks help me at Best Buy and it was all done properly again and this company ottocast I’ve spoke with them several times there techs and there support the main ppl all that and I do not receive a new one all they do is tell me to try the same thing or another thing that I’ve already done I even paid a guy $75 to walk threw all the steps of re doweling and installing the newest firmware so it’s been tried by me and several professionals . Thing is I just want it to work but I get upset that they just don’t send a new one man it sucks to lose out and everyone send you to the next guy. When I got it 3 of my friends I talked them into getting there’s so I advertised for them and still no help . The product of mine must just be a dud cause all my friends still work so I say I’d still get one but if it messes up they won’t honor the product and replace it . So that just had me bent side ways .
