This is awesome! In my picture I uploaded I was watching a zoom Karate seminar my kid was in from my car using the zoom app on my ottocast. It works great! I use my iPhone as a hotspot and QUICK TIP, if you want Ottocast to auto-connect to your iPhone hotspot telling Siri to turn on hotspot keeps it on I find. So whenever I enter my car it just connects. There’s also a hotspot shortcut in iOS 15 in control center you can click to just make it discoverable I was using this in an Infiniti QX50 and it worked and I liked it. But it did crash and freeze sometimes but someone totaled that car when it was parked. I now use it in a 2025 Honda CRV and it works even smoother! It works GREAT! Much better than in the Infiniti One more thing I found that gave me trouble in the past. I used to hit multicar app to use apple play and it took a long time to connect on the next screen and when it did connect, I couldn’t use my steering wheel buttons to control CarPlay. By accident, I hit multicar to launch CarPlay but when it popped up to the connection screen, instead of clicking the screen to connect I just hit back instead of trying to connect and it connected to CarPlay a different way which is much faster and works near perfect I know it is hard to explain and that may not have made sense but it seems there are different ways to use the Ottocast to connect to CarPlay on your phone. One way is slow and finicky for me and the other works great Love this device to watch, YouTube, Netflix, CarPlay etc!

Got for my Christmas gift Lasted three months , worked great watched movies and music videos and Netflix but then one day nothing , I even bought new wire thinking it might it and still nothing tried it in other cars nothing , really liked it really wished it still worked , called Amazon and they couldn’t help me and seller couldn’t since it was past 30 days , still upset with company and product should of lasted longer !!!!!

I am using this with a 2018 Volvo XC90 and it works wonderfully. I had to go in the car settings and enable autostart, once I did it connected just fine. I also recommend connecting to your home WiFi before updating the software. Mine needed two updates, the first took about 15 minutes, the second about 10. Once the device was updated, I then went to the play store and updated the apps I plan on using. YouTube and DirecTV stream work 100%. Fantastic little device, much more useful than plain carplay or android auto, although it supports both wirelessly. You can connect your phone via Bluetooth to the device for handsfree calling without having to use carplay or android auto. I keep it in the glove box (it gets warm) for the cool air from the AC, then ran a long USB cable for connection in the center console.

I initially left a 1 star review because the device I received was not funtioning properly and had problems communicating the issue with Ottocast customer service...the problem has been resolved. Ottocast has a great line of products and this is one of many I have purchased.

Out of the box, this thing is awesome. I put it in a 2023 Chevy blazer. I would of gave it 5 stars but it had one flaw. When I start my vehicle everytime, it took a minute for it to find the service from the Sim I got in it. Another thing I noticed is when it is hot outside and I left in in the car heat, it flickers till it cools down. Other than that, this thing is a beast. I got a 16 inch portable display and a seat bracket that attached to two headrest, then ran a micro hdmi to micro hdmi from the unit to the display and wow..... rear seat entertainment. There are a lot of these types of units out there but there were a few reasons I went with this one. Reason 1# it is easy to take it out with you anytime you get out of the car. Car thief still happens. Reason 2# what ever I play on the main screen plays in the rear screen, but if you swipe left to right from the left of the screen and the navigation bar shows. From there you can go to the settings tab and there is a tab that reads Cast to HDMI. If you press it, the video or app still will play for the rear but goes back to the main screen in the front. Not only that, you can also take this and hook it to your tv, get a Bluetooth mouse, and now it is like a firestick or something. Reason 3# sim card and micro SD slot. Will work with a tablet plan, I get unlimited internet and it has the option to wifi tether for the car. The sds i can use is up to 256gb. I put movies on it, put it in the device and boom 💥 best this since sliced bread. Since I do rideshare, it makes customers tip more, and with the ability to take everything out in seconds is like a dream.

I wanted to share my recent experience with the Ottocast P3, and how the company turned a frustrating situation into a positive one. Initially, I faced significant issues with the device after a software update. Naturally, I was disappointed and left a negative review. However, the response from Ottocast was exceptional. The support team went above and beyond to address my concerns. They promptly sent me a new unit, and I was impressed with their dedication to customer satisfaction. The new unit works perfectly, seamlessly integrating into my 2023 Cadillac Lyric and enhancing my driving experience with its impressive features. It’s clear to me now that the first unit I received was likely defective out of the box, and the update merely exposed the issue. Ottocast’s willingness to rectify the situation, despite my initial negative review, speaks volumes about their commitment to their customers. Overall, I’m now extremely satisfied with the Ottocast P3 and highly recommend it to others. The device itself is fantastic, and the company’s outstanding customer service has truly redeemed my experience. After customizing my devices interface I was blown away with what this device can do!

This is a detailed review that hopefully helps you out. Man, I had high hopes for this OTTOCAST P3, especially with Android 12 and all. And honestly, for the first little while, it worked great. It brought a full Android experience to my car's screen, and I was stoked. But then, it started acting up. It kept randomly shutting off and restarting mid-drive, sometimes multiple times in a single trip. Super annoying and definitely not safe. I tried doing a factory reset on it, hoping to clear things up, but it did absolutely nothing. The problem persisted. What really grinds my gears is that my simple, little wireless Android Auto dongle works without a single issue in the same car, proving it's not my vehicle that's the problem. I emailed customer service about the constant reboots, hoping for some troubleshooting help or a solution. All they had to say was a blunt, "it's not compatible with your car." No troubleshooting steps, no offer to look into it further, just a quick dismissal. That lack of support combined with the fact that it no longer consistently works makes this a huge disappointment. Two stars because when it did work, it was cool, but reliability and support are critical. Avoid if you want something dependable.

******UPDATED 6 Months**** Worked this morning, this afternoon it stopped. It turns on, and my system sees it, but it's just a black screen. I've done hard reset, different cables, you name it, it does nothing. I'll be switching manufacturer's since it looks like this one has a whole 15 (FIFTEEN DAY) day warranty. This does what it says it does most of the time. I like the option to have Youtube, Netflix and all the other options in the car. Original setup was pretty quick, and I just have to remember to turn my hotspot on my phone on every time I start my car. Unfortunately, I frequently get failed connections, I'd say it works about 80% of the time, the other 20% nothing will make it work and I just have to wait for the next drive. It seems to be built well, but the price is pretty high for what it is. Compared to streaming a phone audio through the car stereo, the streaming box has much less lag. My phone audio is usually about a second or two, on this the words almost line up with lip movements. After having it for a few weeks, I turned it on once and all my apps were gone, including play store so I had no way to get any of them back. I did a factory reset and it is back to normal now. We'll see if it happens again.
