This is NOT a charger, just a MagSafe holder. The construction and mounting is much more stable than the vent-mounted MagSafe charging phone holder, however. The MagSafe magnetic holder piece has a different configuration from the MagSafe magnetic charger/holder purchased previously, but the actual MagSafe magnetic charger/holder unit does fit onto the base for the dash/windshield base. So YAY and I can still use the 6-pin cable to listen to the iPhone through the car speaker (no Bluetooth in my car). ... show more

I am a fan of Otterbox phone covers. I am Disappointed with this phone mount though. I like the magnetic holder concept, but the vibration of the car make all the plastic parts & knobs loosen up. Also, the mag-safe phone case is cracking around the magnetic attachment point. And it still requires the charging cord To be plugged into the phone. ... show more

This thing is not compatible with Otterbox iPhone case! I bought it figuring that Otterbox would make a magsafe iPhone holder that I could use for my iPhone, which I keep in an Otterbox protective case. Nope. This thing won’t hold my iPhone unless I take it out if the case. Not doing that. So, my plan for this morning is to construct something of wood that will hold the phone and that I can attach to the Otterbox stand. By the way, the stand sticks really well to my dash. ... show more
