  • Very Spacious!
I have looked at and ordered many Convection/Toaster Ovens. Most say they are big and can fit large pans/items....but it was never true. This one does handle most large pans that are about 12 inches, and with ease. Initially I did not want digital controls, but this unit was so easy to learn and to use. I truly love this item. Toasting at times has to be set again to get toast/English muffins dark enough though. I highly recommend the Oster Toaster/Convection Oven. ... show more

  • GREAT COUNTERTOP OVEN or toaster oven as called by some
BACKGROUND: First, note this reviewer USES his toaster oven ALL the TIME, remodeling ten years ago wiring and outlet installed for stove plug- no stove, instead have large Butcher Block Island table. Oyster is used as primary oven,, a two burner Waring stove top finishes stove requirements. Bottom LINE is OSTER gets USED A LOT, more than a normal 'toaster oven' will ever get used. Nothing decent in quality or size under $50,, and $300 Beville is way too much money (especially when some have problems). A B&D at Wally World costing under $40 is good for two years at best.. at best. And SO,,, for the bucks, size and features (including Amazon Prime two day delivery,)... reviewer bought this Oster. PRO: Shipped in decent box and arrived on time. Really is decent sized toaster oven,, DIMENSIONS are Accurate compared to previous WARING where the Pizza pan would not fit. This Oster has easy to use controls.. Instruction manual was easy to read, operation is intuitive (i.e. IF you have used products like this before; SETUP will be a SNAP,, NEVER used toast oven before? Still easy to use; as said, manual is easy to follow, having clock set and ready to cook took under thirty minutes from opening the box to cooking (chicken if you must know, taking longer to cook than setup) SO FAR, using for a couple of week, have not used Thermometer to double check Temps; however, pizza, chicken, sandwiches ,, and some of usual fare has ALL turned out as it should in normal cooking times expected. Bottom tray is VERY easy to remove from the front. Keeping inside clean, cleaning glass window door, etc. all good so far. LIGHT on inside is BIG PLUS compared to Waring which cost MORE than this unit,, Waring controlled everything with a knob, breaking within first year and COST to return for warranty not worthwhile,,,, When cooking time has ended,, oven uses 'bing, bing bing, ' which repeats a couple of times,, oldster like reviewer, sometimes don't hear it from other side of room,, BUT the LIGHT does turn OFF when cooking is done,, and Oven DOES shut itself off. RECOMMEND: YES, H _ _ _ yes. Easiest to use toast oven that been owned in past twenty years, Far better than Black & Decker, the Waring mentioned, etc. SIZE is bigger than most and CORRECT as advertised. PIZZA FITS JUST FINE. Can even buy a 10x13 baking dish which will easily fit. CON: this unit sits on Wood Butcher Block Island table, whatever the feet are made of,, doesn't have friction on wood,, BEING VERY picky here,, sometimes when pushing keypad to set Temp and Time for cooking (Really is EASY to USE and Set,, bake, default is 350 temp, keypad + or - key to raise or lower temp, then do same + or - for Time,, Broil is another keypad item, then set time, etc).... SOMETIMES THE OVEN SLIDES BACKWARDS on the Wood table,, owner has placed hand on back of oven when touching keypad,, NOT a big deal.. Better this way than keypad so sensitive that you are forced to redo mistakes all the time. Second 'con' is worse, a real biggies, when cooking is done, the light is off,, you must push keypad for Stop (cancel) or the 'END' remains in display and if you are turning over chicken in pad,, cooking for another 20-minutes,,, cannot reset NEW time, unless you have pushed 'End' to cancel the previous 'instructions... Takes all of a whole SECOND to do.. ... and you likely would NEVER have paid any attention if reviewer had not mentioned,, Really hard to find something to 'CON" here. Give this paragraph all the 'attention' it deserves,, :)-(: Really is a good VALUE for a Toaster Oven.. Solid 5-Star product, given 4-Stars , ONLY reason for 4-Stars, One-Star was deducted since Longevity has yet to be determined,, standard practice for this reviewer with only a few rare exceptions, Reason for deducting and RATING are always given; allowing reader or potential buyer to evaluate for themselves. This reviewer always looks for LARGEST number reviews possible, then 5-Star must be twice as many as ALL the 4-3-2&1 review numbers combined <re: 300 total 5-Star reviews, then adding up all the 4, 3, 2 and 1-Star reviews must total LESS than 150 reviews. Greater the ration of 5-Star to all the others combined, statistically removes the reviewers who don't know how to review (think 1-star is highest),,, , those who knock product damaged in shipping, not having features product never claimed, or it cost too much, and so on. More expensive products,, look for three to one ration, meaning Five Star rating should be THREE times higher,, example, 300 5-Star,, then looking for products where 4,3,2&1 total less than 100 .. And so on. just davzway Reviewing practices for a Product- ALWAYS based on it's merits (or lack of) ,, NOT because of shippers bad habits for destroying package before product's delivered (aka: UPS) or buyer giving bad reviews for his not reading or doing a Buyer's Due Diligence to research on suitability of a product- and later knocks product or gives bad review for product not having features the buyer wanted which neither Manufacturer or Amazon claimed product had in any advertisement. BOTTOM LINE, GREAT TOASTER OVEN,, two rack levels are properly positioned. Size, Features and accessories for Cost, this OSTER Large Capacity Oven,, Recommend to ANY and ALL who are looking for one. NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS ONE. (did buy the extended warranty Square Deal ok on small ticket items,, IF by some odd chance, have one with defect, IF SIZE IS RIGHT AND IT'S IN YOUR BUDGET, THIS IS GOOD VALUE OVEN TO BUY,, More than enough said.. davzway ... show more

  • Not perfect but decent
Reading the reviews of the competition (that also are not non stick, which I would like to avoid) even up to $250, they all have their flaws. This has many as well, yet I like it. I use this oven to cook all my meals every day (meats, vegetables, starches, eggs, toast) on Convection Bake and have had it almost a month now. I did let it run in my garage first on and off a number of hours to let it burn off the initial smell, as many manufacturers of similar ovens recommend. It only has a very faint engine smell while first heating up (there is no preheat) and empty that i notice and I normally don’t smell anything once cooking. I also keep my kitchen exhaust fan on for all cooking. My air quality monitor is not showing any VOCs from the oven itself (only due to cooking butter and oil). It does slide around the counter a little so i placed a piece of cardboard between the feet and wall and the buttons are much easier to use now without sliding. You can turn the light on and off. You will have to remember to add time to your cooking because it defaults to 30 minute and there is no “Stay on.” It will stop cooking and beep to notify you. You can adjust temp and time while cooking. It has about 5.5 inches of space between the rack and the top burner, a measurement which works for me and seem a little more that most other ovens offer in this size, and many larger ovens often have either more of less space between the various rack height and the top burner. I wrap food in parchment paper so that space is useful not to burn the paper. There is no drip tray under the rack, I use the included rack that you place into the tray that is then placed on the oven rack. It does cook little unevenly, I do have to be mindful of my placement of things, though only toast with cheese I have move around during cooking. If you use it for baking things that require even cooking this oven would probably not be good choice. For my particular meals this has not been a problem and it is fast, gets up to temp, and I like that it is only 1300 watts so there is less chance of tripping breakers in an old kitchen. The handle does get hot if you touch it too long. It is very quiet unlike my previous Cook’s Essentials convection oven which made loud whining sound, as it seems many countertop Convections ovens do. This one can only be heard with your ear very close to the oven, but the it is working as sometimes i can see the parchments aper blowing slightly if it is in the right position. It does however make a clicking sound every 15 seconds I think has something to do with the heating elements, it is the same type of click an electric radiator space heater makes. With my kitchen exhaust fan on I rarely notice the sound. However out of concern it was defective I replaced the oven and the replacement also make the same clicks, so I have to assume this is normal despite Oster customer service not knowing anything about it and other customers saying theirs does not click. The front lower heating element appears to not light up but if you turn the lights off in the room you can see that it is on, so it is just the lighting and angle that makes it appear dead. Since it cooks well for my uses I will continue to use it. ... show more

  • Outstanding and still my #1 pick. Best control panel on the market
We bought ours (this model TSSTTVMNDG) from AMZ in 2017, so about six years ago, for a total of $74 including tax, and it’s still outstanding. Looking at all the toaster ovens I could see on AMZ now, in my opinion, none compare with this model Oster. Today, taking some time looking over top models on AMZ, I could not find another control panel as excellent and easy as this one other than the Oster 7 in 1. ... show more
