First trip out to the beach with this yesterday, it was unexpectedly windy. Overall I liked it, gave a good shade area and stood up to the wind after a few mishaps and adjustments. Cons: The sand shovels are woefully inadequate. They are small and flimsy and the sand bags expand like Mary Poppins bag. Take much bigger, sturdy sand scoopers. If you have 4 people to scoop.. take 4 scoops, it will speed up the set up time. Takes a while to set up due to having to fill and bury the sand bags. ( yes, despite only only one photo showing buried sand bags, if there is any wind you will need to bury them) No matter how you adjust your poles and sand bags you will always have saggy bits of the canopy, so if you want that " got my act together" look, this is probably not the shade for you. Wind is a challenge as the material is that stretchy that it billows the canopy changing the shade positions. The computer generated image of the 2 pole configuration is not achievable. When you remove 2 poles, you still have 8 equal length legs with sand bags on the end and the 2 remaining poles are not any longer.. thus to provide a steady shelter you have to stretch out the back 4 legs and that makes the canopy low to the ground at the back... so low you can't sit under that bit. I plan to play with this scenario and maybe tie knots in those 4 kegs to shorten their length ? 🤔 Pros: Its very light weight. Shade area is quite large. It's less likely to succumb to the salt water air than a mechanical canopy. It's compact, doesn't take up much trunk space. It's a good price. It was sturdy in high wind gusts ( after a few adjustments). It felt much cooler under the canopy. ... show more

Took this on a beach trip. My wife looked at me and said, "Our tent is in that little box?" She was the most happy person with this tent. We set it up and the sand under the tent was 15 - 20 degrees cooler that what we were walking on outside the tent. It is easy to put up and take down. A few shakes and the sand comes out. We loved having this shade while we were at the beach!! It was super easy to pack in our suitcase and was a lifesaver while we were at the beach! Very easy to set up and take down! It definitely extended our stay and there was room for all 6 of us under it!

This was easy and simple to put up. It comes with everything you need, and the bag it comes in is plenty big enough so that you don't have to try to wrap everything up the way it came to you to get it back in there. We haven't used it a lot yet, so I can't attest to longevity, but everything seems to be decent quality. We took it for the 1st this last weekend to the beach. It is fairly easy to put up and take down. However the material seems cheap and the sun was burning us underneath it.
