    • Sound quality is good
Nice banjo for the beginner. Accessory package is cheap. Customer service is great.

    • Awful return experience
The banjo had a defective finish (cloudy gray areas) on the mahogany body, the bag that was provided was advertised as a heavy duty padded gig bag (12mm thick) but was a very cheaply made thin nylon bag with no padding whatsoever, and the picks shown in the picture were metal banjo finger picks but the provided picks were merely flimsy plastic guitar picks. I decided to return it for all of the above reasons and they agreed to the return (form letter) but after they received it they charged a $299 return fee. I tried repeatedly to get an explaination as to why I was being charged a return fee for a misrepresented and defective item but only received the same form letter answering none of my questions and providing no explanation. Eventually I had to contact Amazon to get the return fee refunded. Very frustrating experience. I would not recommend purchasing an instrument from Music Buys if there is any possibility that it might need to be returned. ... show more
