    • old corroded joint will need persuading first....
so ive used it twice now, first time was pulling originals out at 85000 miles and here is the deal with joints that are original to vehicle or perhaps seized from corrosion.... With joints of this nature do not just put the sea clamp on and expect it to press them out without it opening up when it bends. These folks who are saying I thought I could get more than one used out of it and showing you pictures of Bent c frames it's because they don't know what I'm about to tell you which is originals and seized ball joints need to be beaten on with a hammer to start them out. Once you're beating on it with the hammerI'm really speaking about lower ball joints when I'm saying beating on them cuz most people just replace upper control arms, but you know I just replace my upper control arm ball joint only when I did the second job and this C frame still work perfect for that but on the initial removal of original ball joints you have to beat it with a hammer once you see that ball joint start to move then you can throw the sea press on there and press it out and press it in and you won't have it deform whatsoever....Any subsequent jobs unless you've got a bunch of miles on themAre going to just pop right out without hitting it with the hammer So example I just did them for the second time because I bought Chinese PS off of this freaking website and every one of the ball joints failed within a month (trq brand) but I basically been riding on them ever since about 8 months now and I can say that when I put the C frame on this time I didn't hit him with the hammer I just put the seam frame on press lower and upwards out no problem but yeah if you see a pictures of sea frames and people saying I thought these were the last more than one job it's because they put them on directly on two way an original ball jointDid seeds in there and you got to think too that the press fits going to be the tightest it's ever been on an original ball joint It's going to need a little extra help beat it with the hammer to start itAnd you will not have any problems with this frame ... show more

Works as it should and didn’t bent like other presses I’ve had. Could use some more attachments for different applications though. I had to modify the attachments to work with my application (Dana 30)

    • I didn't use it to do ball joints
I used this to press in the ball joint sleeves on an 08 Ford fusion. It worked amazingly well, everyone only said it was a 3+ hour job this made it take 20 minutes.

    • Cheap garbage
I bought this because it was rated for light-duty trucks and specifically listed half ton pickups it worked fine at first but on the third ball joint I did it completely failed just using hand tools the threads stripped out I'd even make sure to heat and start the ball joint with a hammer first as I knew it was the most difficult one I had to do do not recommend this product ... show more

    • Great kit- not for use with impact gun
Great kit for smaller cars. Worked for my ford focus control arm bushings. Didn't work for my heavy duty 2500 control arm ball joints. I dont recommend using an impact gun on this kit.

    • Not the best quality!
The threads on the press started to roll over from the pressure of trying to push the ball joint out. I had to use a hammer. However it did work fairly well pressing in the new one. I would recommend spending a little more for a stronger unit.
