    • An inexpensive LED motion sensor light that works, but feels cheap
My old, metal motion sensor double spot halogen light fixture finally broke after 9 years. Rather than get another cheap halogen fixture, I decided on an LED one. I searched and this brand had good reviews and was the least expensive as it was on sale. The installation was very easy with only 2 wires (no ground wire attachment, so I attached my ground to the junction box backing plate). Installation was about 2 minutes. There are 3 modes for the fixture. Push the power button once and you get stand by mode: The fixture is always on on a low power mode and when motion is detected, it gets brighter. Push the power button three times (three flashes) and the fixture is off, but turns on when motion is detected. I forgot what the second setting does... It feels really cheap. It's very light and the plastic doesn't seem durable. I have the light partly covered by eaves, so there is some protection from the elements. However, time will tell how durable it is in the hot California sun. The aiming is fairly good with a decent range of motion. The brightness was comparable to my old 100W halogens, but with a much cooler and whiter light. ... show more

    • Not for Use with a Surface Mount Box
1) It is not made to attach to a surface mounted octagon box like mine. It does not have a gasket to seal against the weather. 2) Not as much light as the similar PAR-20 fluorescent bulb fixture that it replaced. I doubt the 1600 lumen claim, but that is very subjective. I am be pleased with the amount of light for the wattage used. 3) Their technical writer is likely not a native English speaker. This makes some of the instructions difficult to interpret. In one instance the instruction says to not use silicone or compound. Next sentence starts with "when the silicone is dry". How would you interpret that? 4) Good seller. Although I do not claim that this light is defective in any way, the seller is trying hard to make me happy with my purchase. ... show more

I've had this installed for about a month now. It works well. The mounting "plate"/backing that goes against the utility box doesn't really seem like a good tight seal, but it's okay. The lights are bright enough for a casual entrance walkway & not too glaring as if it was for a high security deterrent or something. It looks inexpensive so don't expect it to look really good in a setting that is finished with higher quality finishes. ... show more

What makes this one unique is that first of all it’s LED so no more spending $10 to replace the lights and also I can still have my windchimes hang up and it want set off the lights with my previews ones the little swings that set it off highly recommended this one.

    • Update new light works perfect! - Bright lights but won't turn off.
Update - after my initial review, I was contacted by the company who offered to send another light. I initially checked the 1st light again before installing the 2nd to insure I wasn't wrong. Same problem, would not turn off. I installed the replacement light and it worked perfect. Motion sensor worked and lights are very bright. I commend the company's customer service for contacting me and taking to the time to troubleshoot or replace the item. Original comment: I followed the instructions to the letter. the I purchased this light because I wanted a motion sensor light. The lights are bright and installation was easy. The lights stay on ALL THE TIME. I set the LUX mode to the ccw position,reset it, turned the power on and off, covered the motion sensor and the light stays on during the day and at night!
