I took a chance and ordered this green Orbit motor assembly for my yellow Nelson sprinkler. I did that because for a few extra $$ you get brand new wheels. It fit perfect and works perfect. That being said, the price between this repair and a brand new Orbit tractor isn't much. Considering repairing a 2nd sprinker....but I might just buy new and use the old one as a yard decoration. ... show more

Cheaper than replacement of the whole sprinkler. Old drive assembly easy to remove. This new part went on equally easy. If sprinkler is going backwards then the arms need to point the other direction. Quite satisfied but hope to not buy again.

I have used walking sprinklers since I was a kid, and I really need one for my back yard. This replacement fit perfectly and is doing its job. The one down side is that all manufacturers of this kind of sprinkler use gear materials that wear out after a couple of years, so a new tractor motor (like this one) is needed. The original "American" walking sprinkler used brass gears, and the one I have is more than 60 years old and still running fine ~ in fact, that is probably why they went out of business ~ once you have one, you don't need t buy replacement parts! ... show more

I bought the tractor sprinkler to replace an Orbit that I'd had for many years. It didn't work when it got here. I contacted Orbit directly, since their warranty supposedly covers the entire product. I was told that this is a problem with the gear assembly, so they would replace the gear assembly only. However, they don't have any in stock and have no idea when/if they are going to get more. I've seen other people complain about this very issue. So I have an unusable tractor in my garage. Definitely a misrepresentation in their warranty. But who's going to sue over an $80-$90 item? It's definitely a deceptive trade practice, which is actionable in Texas. ... show more
